Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum has sufficient syllabus which a hardworking student can easily excel because most of the things are clear in the class itself. The lectures are interactive with ppts and videos. They also provide pyqs to solve. They frequently take students to site visits and field trips for better understanding. Every year they have summer internships which prepares the student for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. Per semester they have 2 mid-sem exams and 1 semester end exam. The level of exams is from moderate to hard, if a student has sincerely attended all the lectures and had gone trough the notes and pyqs, he/she can easily score well.

Internships Opportunities

4

Some courses have summer internships every year whereas some courses have internships at the end of the course. Different companies come to our university for placements and internships. Students should have a good experience in all fields and should standout with their CVs to get themselves selected.

Placement Experience

3

Their are good placement opportunities provided in MSU. All different companies come to our university. 75% students are selected in placements. Their are different salary packages for different students depending on their skills and scores. Average package for placements is for 5 lakhs or more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college the yearly fees of the course is minimal as compared to others. It's affordable for all be it the lower castes or the upper castes. My yearly fees is rs 8750/- which breaks down to tuition fees- 0 Rs. The admission fees- 500 Rs. The maintenance fund- 2460 Rs The lab fees- 600 Rs The facilities charge- 2000 Rs The library fees- 100 Rs The examination fees- 2000 Rs rest is other fees. students also get scholarships if they belong to lower caste categories and should score at least 55% in the previous exam to qualify for the scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The months starting from september to december are full of fests and days which gives ample opportunities to socialise with different faculty students. The fests over here are really fun and wholesome full of festivities. There are various clubs for all different categories. There is a huge area of all types of sports and have different tournaments all round the year. All students can easily avail the sports facilities. The classrooms here are big smart classes with good condition working ACs. There are many libraries for different year students and all the students and easily access it with the library card.

Hostel Facilities

3

MSU has hostels for both boys and girls which they call a hall of residence. There are 2 as well as 4 sharing rooms. Mess is also available in the hostel itself, the food over there is good and freshly prepared. Mess fees is not included in the hostel fees we have to pay that differently. They allow students to order food from outside. We have to enter the hostel before 10 pm at night but if we are going be late any day we have to inform in advance. The hostel fee is about 10000 per year. Students can also get PG nearly if they want to live in so.

Admission

The admission process was quite easy. We had to register through GCAS portal and then had to wait for the merit list rounds. They reach out to us if we are qualified in their round and if we want to take admission then we have to come to the university to submit our documents and after document verification we have to pay fees. Some courses also have their own entrance exams for admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty over here are all PHDs with good experiences over the years. The university has been assigned a grade of 'A+'. All the teaching techniques are practical based and mostly group activity based and they also arrange many field trips and site visits for better understanding. The staff is really supportive and students can reach out to them at any time for any queries. Although some of the professors are strict but never refuse to help students. Over all faculty-to-student interaction is good.
