A good college with a mix of academics and co-curricular activities.

This is one of the best colleges in India.My review was basically inclined towards Computer Science .However all the branches like civil and mechanical are really good here and there are ample opportunities for you to develop.College management is a little bit orthodox .

I gave IIT JEE and AIEEE and appeared for these exams in 2012. My AIEEE AIR was 2381. There were various factors that made me to chose this college.Although I qualified for IIT JEE 2012, I wanted to study computer science and I wasn't getting it in IIT's so opted for NIT Allahabad.One of the reasons being the good placements for computer science at NIT Allahabad.

The course curriculum is good as far as computer science is concerned however during the initial year that is first year you have to study things related to other branches which I guess is of no use to us the CS folks so that is one drawback.

Yes , companies start visiting our campuses during the third year of B.Tech. for summer internship of 8-10 weeks.The stipend provided are usually 25,000 -35000 per month. A lot of students say around 50 get these internships from computer science department.

As far as the CSE batch of 2016 is concerned, many of us got CTC of more than 18 lpa ,the number of students with ctc more that 18 were more than 40 in numbers.The average of CSE was 10 lpa. Its a policy to not reveal the companies that visit our campus but some of the few big names for CS are adobe, amazon, microsoft, goldman sachs, cisco, flipkart, deshaw,visa, directi, citrix, morgan stanley, de shaw etc etc.

Avishkar the technical fest had almost 70 events every year. Culrav was the cultural festival which had around 50-60 events. Then we had josh-jlal the annual sports function. Apart from that we used to have an atheletic meet. All these events had fair participation from other colleges.

Fee is feasible our semester tution fee was 24000 and the mess and hostel fee combined was 13000 per semester. Although for the current batch the semester fee is 43000.

You can easily get education loan from SBI. There are a lot of scholarships provided by the government of India and various state government to students of our college on the basis of certain criteria. The information about these scholarships is posted on the notice board.

Campus Life:- okay 8/10 you will make new friends and everyone is chilled out life is actually good we have robotics club.We have a quiz club gnosomania we have teams for various games like football,volleyball,badminton ,basketball and other games.We have literary club that is responsible for organizing a lot of activities. Computer science labs are well equipped. We also had a computer club where final year students on every weekend teach the juniors about various topics related to computer science. Gender ratio is 1:8 .There is no discrimination on the basis of ethnicity,race and religion.

The hostel that we get in first year is quite spacy and three people share a room it also has a study room attached to it. However second year and third year hostel are not very spacy and shared by two guys.In final year you get your single room.We have lan in our hostels and there is no restriction on usage.There is 24*7 power backup and water supply.In case of any power cuts a mail is sent by authorities in advance. The mess food is not that great compared to home food but its better than the other mess food I have eaten in some other places. But 13000 for 6 months for hostel and mess is really a good deal. And on the top of that you get some of it refunded.

The seniors students are really helpful.There is zero ragging by zero I actually mean zero. You can approach seniors any time in case you require any help. As far as alumnis are concerned,I met few of them while working and they all have been really helpful and supportive.

We have a good exam structure with one mid semester exam and one end semester exams. Apart from that we had two quizzes for every subject which decided internal marks.

The faculty of computer science department were of varying quality.Some of them were really good ones and others were disappointing.
