Decent choice if you just want to study

I chose the college just because it was close to my home and it had my preferred course because there is only one other college in Panipat for biotechnology apart from this college. There needs to be a lot of improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The college is affiliated to KUK, Kurukshetra. The exam pattern is not that difficult. The difficulty level is moderate.

Overall this college is okay in terms of education. Apart from that, there are no cultural activities like the annual fest or any other celebration. If you are happy with cultural activities such as painting, poster making, and rangoli competitions, as was in schools, then you can totally go for it. Talking about the college course fees, I paid around 15000 per year which got increased to around 19000 in the last year. So it is quite affordable. I applied to this college through DHE by the Haryana govt. The application process is smooth. There's no other administration for the proper management of the admission process so the professors themselves guide you to the admission process. There are also NCC and NSS departments. Talking about labs, they are well equipped with lab attendants and all the necessary instruments are available. Biotech lab is quite good. Overall, college is good if you just want to study.

My campus life wasn't good at all. There is a separate wing for girls and boys which includes a separate canteen for both of them. Boys are not allowed to enter the girl's wing unless and until it's a special occasion. Festivals like Diwali fest and lohri are celebrated in the college which are quite good. Apart from them, no other fest or technical festivals are celebrated. Although the library is well equipped with proper shelves and arranged alphabetically one can find any specific book related to their course. There are a lot of books but not the books you really need. There are negligible student-run social groups clubs or student portals. There are a lot of sports activities offered on campus like cricket, baseball etc

I applied to this college through DHE applications that were organized by the government of Haryana. Had my name on the first merit list of this college. So I applied for this college online and paid a nominal registration fee which was around 200 to 500 I think. The application process is quite smooth. There's no proper administration for the admissions but the teachers themselves help students in the admission process. I got a call from a one of my professors after I applied for admission to the college. Scholarships are also provided in the college.

The faculty members consider themselves as if they own the college. Especially the head incharge. They also poke into students lives. They tell you not to talk to the guys if you are a girl. Sitting arrangement in classes is also like when we were in schools in which there is a different row for boys and girls. There are good teachers and bad teachers everywhere. Talking about my course, my biotech professors were quite intellectual and understanding. They had a great knowledge about everything and they didn't even use to poke unless a student actually ask for their help. Talking about other subjects apart from biotechnology, the professors doesn't teach at all. They are more interested in talking about other topics and keep stretching the same topic every day, and when the semester is about to end, they start teaching one unit everyday. Dr Priyanka mam (Zoology Professor) is the only professor who teaches really well and is just interested in teaching only. She has a great knowledge.
