We have internal assesments and end-semester exams. In internal assesments, first a surprise assignment is conducted where we don't know which subject quiz is on which day of the week. This is called MISAC 1 and is for 5 marks. Mid sem exams are conducted generally 2 months into the start of semester and are of 30 marks. These are the 50 internal marks. End sem is conducted for 50 marks making it a total of 100 marks.

From 7th semester the placement season starts. Companies com from the month of July to end of 8th sem that is next year April. Almost all big tech and non-tech companies visit the campus for various roles. 85% percent students who register for placements are placed generally as many go fornhigher studies even if they are registered.

Fees for first year was 315000 and an additional 10000 was paid as security deposit. 2nd year onwards yearly tuition fees was 430000. There are many scholarships available. 30% waiver for people in the top 10% of the batch in the first year and top 5% 2nd year onwards.

Annual Technical fest is called TechTatva and it is conducted in the month of October. Annual cultural fest is called Revel's and it happens in the month of March every year. MIT's library is one of the best in the country as almost all technical books are available and accessible to the students. Within the classroom, projectors are present with speakers and mic for faculties.

Hostel registration is done via MAHE Hostel portal and fees for each room is different. Maximum capacity of a room is 2. Some are single ac occupancy with attached washroom while some don't have ac or attached washroom. In the room, a table, a chair, a bed, a mattress, cupboard for clothes and a book stand is provided.

Eligibilty of the course if same as IIT JEE exam. Application form can be found on the official MIT Manipal website. Application fees for my year was INR 1000 and the application window was opened in 2 phases. Exam conducted is called MET and it has 2 phases. One generally occurs in April and the other in May. Best of both phases scores are taken for rank list.

The faculty to student ratio is a bit lower in Manipal as it has limited intakes. Every 3 or 4 students have a teacher assigned as a mentor who regularly checks their academic progress. Almost all the faculties encourage students to take up research projects undet them so approachability is easier.
