Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well rounded encompassing various subjects that are necessary to develop a competent pharmacist. The exams test the students thoroughly with their textual knowledge and various case studies help the student with the application of their knowledge.
Placement Experience
The college has an efficient placement cell that approaches various companies including TCS, Nestle, Cipla among the well-known companies with other pharmaceutical companies.
College Events
The college organizes an annual fest 'SPECTRUM' that includes many cultural, sport and technical activities. Besides, an annual intercollegiate fest by the name 'RX' takes place around January which the college students are encouraged to participate in. The college organizes an Entrepreneurship Development program "Ignition" every year to indulge the students in activities beyond their curriculum and bring the entrepreneur out of them. A technical event 'Chemtastic' is organized every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The primary tuition fees are ~Rs.115000 per year with other mandatory university fees that make the gross fee around Rs. 1.3 to 1.4L per annum. Most college fees are included in this and the remaining expenses include the purchase of lecture notes if needed and food, again if needed. The college has an affordable canteen plus a 'CCD on the go'.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides a variety of Scholarships to the students up to Rs.50000 per year. The dates of application are announced by the office staff to make the students aware of them.
Campus Life
The college is situated in the Campus 2 of The Vivekanand Education Society near Collector Colony in Chembur. It is a spacious, green campus with lots of sitting areas for the students from Pharmacy, Management, Engineering, and a newly inducted Architecture college. It has a small park at the center where sits the CCD outlet, with a botanical garden and a playground at the back. The campus is always breezy. Although an occasional odor of ammonia from the Rashtriya Chemical Factory is noticed, the campus is excellent.
Alumni/Alumna
The college organizes an Alumni meet every year to let the students interact with the current students and help them with their queries about the future courses among other topics.
Admission
I attempted my MH-CET examination in 2016 and began my research for selecting a pharmacy college that would efficiently cater to my requirements. I came across this institute through a friend of mine. I checked the details of the college and gave the college a visit. I was personally approached by Dr. Supriya Shidhaye, the Principal of the college. She very meticulously provided all the details and outcomes of the course and answered all my questions as to why I should go ahead with choosing this college. I applied to this college without any hesitation. College admissions took place via a CAP and I successfully got assigned the college which I had kept my first preference. I went back to the college, filled out and submitted the necessary forms and was granted admission.
Faculty
The college faculty comprises of highly experienced teachers that have been a part of the institution since its inception. They encourage the students not only to study the course but also to take part in various competitions that take place across the city and conduct various research and review activities.
