Remarks
The college really puts in efforts to bring the best out of the students and for their holistic development as a professional as well as an individual.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is set by the Mumbai University. The course curriculum is pretty good. It can be made more application based. Each year in the B.Pharm course consists of one mid-semester exam and then the semester exam. The curriculum helps to impart knowledge about this field but at the same, it lacks a bit in updating itself and making us familiar with the current status of this field. Some students who enjoy the subjects tend to become research-oriented by the time they graduate while others may choose marketing and other fields later on. If one is able to develop his/her liking for a particular subject then the chances are high that they become inquisitive to know more about the same.
Placement Experience
Placements of the college are good. I haven't applied for any as I am in the first year. But as far as I have heard there are good companies approaching our college for recruitment. Usually, internship programs begin by the end of the third year.
College Events
Events organized by the college in the academic year 2018-19 includes: Chemtastic- annual chemistry fest Friendship day celebration Fresher's Party Garba night Christmas party Spectrum- annual cultural fest The spectrum includes various spectrum and spectrum events which include- sports and other cultural competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure of the first year B.Pharm course is as follows: Admission form: Rs.500 Annual fee:Rs.1,52,608 Cost of journals(for the first year): Rs500 approximately. Monthly traveling: Rs.1500 to Rs.200 The fees to be paid by NEFT or RTGS or Demand Draft.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I did not opt for any scholarship. The scholarship usually has some criteria to be fulfilled. There is some scholarship purely merit-based but I'm yet to enroll myself in the same.
Campus Life
Campus life is really amazing if you find your bunch of people to spend your time with. Various events and activities which the college organizes make the campus life even more enjoyable. The extracurricular activities include arranging various workshops, meet and greet sessions with successful people in the field and also different debates and seminars conducted based on current scenarios other than the academic aspects.
Alumni/Alumna
The college seems to have a very strong connection with their alumni. Usually every year an Alumni meet is organized by the committee of the college. Alumni are also invited in the cultural fest of the college ie. Spectrum. The seniors are very friendly and approachable.
Admission
One has to qualify entrance exam MHTCET for seeking admission in College of Pharmacy. The college allotment depends upon the selection criteria of the student as well as the cut off for each college. One has to apply for the CAP rounds after the results. My name appeared in the CAP round 1 of the online admission process. Later after CAP round 3, I confirmed my admission in this college. The fees were to pay either by NEFT/ RTGF/ Demand Draft.
Faculty
The faculty of VES College for Pharmacy is very approachable. They keep on updating students about their benefits. The teachers are good and very outgoing. Also, the nonteaching staff is co-operative. The new students are made familiar with the faculty through an orientation session arranged by the college.
