My views on MiT Mysore

Electronics and communications engineering is a very tough branch in the engineering course . This is flexible to get into core electronic industry and also into IT or coding industry. The 2nd and 3rd year we will be studying core electronic subject and in the final year we will be studying mostly communication subjects . We have very well equipped laboratories for hardware and software development experiments in VLSI. Teachers and lecturers motivate everyone to make us understand the concept and applications of electronics and communication in the field Cons It might feel bit stressful and strict about all the topics and deadlines The marks in the internals are very strict and will be granted easily You have to earn it by your own performance

Placements starts for the 7th semester for the students. Placements in this college is pretty bad and not much technical company come for recruiting as compared to other colleges. No Top companies have had their recruitment expect some like TCS, Infosys and also they provide less packages compared to what they give to other colleges for the same role in the companies which is really bad I am currently interning as a data analyst and approaching for a job externally

The CET fees that is given on the CET order copy is Rs.65300 and the additional fees are added of total sum of Rs.115000 are to be paid yearly. There will be scholarship from the government of up to Rs.18400. The additional fees are for the bus transport facility and other facilities (this is for the batch 2020 - 2024 ) the fee structure has been increased as i have enquired from my juniors.

There must be a annual event which was to be conducted on every even SEM called "MAHADASARA" which i have seen only in once in 4 yrs in my term in that college. And there is no actual events and interactions between students. Everybody mind their own things and its like we even didn't know our branch students names until we were in the final year . There is almost no branch to branch interaction. There is only some nerd events like Hackathons and some other things There is no social clubs to encourage other activities

We have to write CET i.e, Common entrance test For engineering courses in all the engineering colleges. MIT Mysore is a VTU affiliated university during my time but now it is a autonomous university. The rankings of the admissions and cutoffs are given at the KEA portal from which you get government seat in the college . All the SC/ST reservations are taken as per the cutoffs given by the college management and portal. According to KEA we have to take 3 internals per SEM and then a external examination at the SEM end

As i have studied in Electronics and communication engineering the faculty here are really well qualified and straightforward with their work. We had the privilege to listen to teachings of IIT alumni and research scholars ,PhD holders HOD of the ECE is very disciplined and strict with regarding students academic and managing them
