Pros& cons

The curriculum of electrical engineering course is quite difficult and vast. The curriculum is highly based on keeping placements in mind. Thoughsome subjects in the course also seems unnecessary. The teachers are knowledgeable, though may not properly know how to convey their knowledge. The assignments are not much. For each semester there are two exams the mid semester exam which carry 30 marks and the end semester exam,and that carry 50 marks rest 20 marks are in the hands of teacher. The exams are a bit difficult.

Atlassian offered internship of 1.5 lakhs,tata Steel offered stipend of 80 thousand, Salesforce offered internship for girls at 1.5 lakhs. BNY , J P Morgan, Texas Instruments, Accenture also offers internships .

As the reputation of nit stands Campus placement of the college is quite good even among the other nits. NIT JAMSHEDPUR is an underdog among the other NITs .The students are eligible for campus placement in their fourth year of college.More than 260 companies visit the college for placements. Among them are Atlassian, Bank of New York,Texas Instruments, Accenture,fastenal, Tata Steel, JSW, TATA Power, Jindal Steel Limited ,Nvidia, Powergrid,etc. The highest package offered is 82lpa and the average package is 12.63lpa.About 93 % students are placed every year.After the degree,I will join a well reputed company as an sde

For a person with family income between 1lakh to 5 lakh, I got a few remission of 66% on tuition fees.So, on yearly basis the tuition fees is 41666, e campus fee is 4000 ,examination fee is 2000, training and placement fee is 1000 ,library fee is 4000, internet fee is 2000,student welfare fee is 1000, medical insurance is 2000 ,sports fee is 3000 and cultural and tech fee is 4000

The annual festival in NIT JAMSHEDPUR is the 2nd largest fest in eastern India. It is held in the month of February or March. The techno fest,OJASS is held in April-May. The library has all kinds of books i.e the course books, books for gate ,ssc,cgl and other competitions.Every classroom has projectors and mics installed. Classrooms are sound proof and large. Well maintained centralised ventilation and cooling system is also installed. College is involved in most of the types of sports, games and other curricular activities through clubs and societies. Literature and debating society is the oldest club of nit Jamshedpur. The technical clubs provide a hands on way to apply the theory taught. They also provide skills like good communication, teamwork, leadership skills etc.

The room has a bed,a chair, a table and a cupboard.2 students are alloted per room for first years.From 2nd years everyone are alloted their own individual rooms.Though for girls three girls are alloted 1 room for entire four years. The meal quality is bad,even though the menu is good. There are hygienic issues.Hostel is quite affordable .No extra process for hostel as it is compulsory .

The admission is through JEE MAINS entrance exam.The candidates who belong to the General category should secure a minimum of 75% marks while students who belong to the reserved category should score a minimum of 65% marks or they should fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards in the 10+2 or equivalent examination, to get admission.The application form can be found at the site of NTA, application fee is 650 and dates are announced by the NTA.The exams are held twice a year and one can give the exam at maximum of 3 times. The difficulty level is not much. One can ensure their seat quite easily in nit if they only maintain discipline in their preparation.

The faculty to student ratio is quite high.Faculties are highly qualified. They are helpful. Though there are also some teachers who don't act like one. Some faculties show favouritism even in exams. Though most of the faculties are quite good
