Likes
- Classroom size, the classrooms are quite good with around 30 students in each batch.
- Teachers, the professors are quite good as they help students a lot.
- Mess food and cafeteria, the food quality is good.
Dislikes
- Sports facility, the sports facility is jiit is quite poor as they have a very limited space of only 15 acres
- The timing of classes, sometimes we've our classes form 9-9:55 am and then the other class is scheduled at 2:25 pm
- Physics lab facility, there are a very few instruments so every student (in a group of 3) has to perform a different experiment as they only have 1 instrument/device for every experiment
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is quite bad, bcoz they start with C instead of any other language which the corporate world desires. However, the teachers are quite good if you'll interact with them, they help the students a lot. The exams completely application based and are quite tough.
Internships Opportunities
Being a fresher i don't know much about the companies offering internships but I've talked to a lot of seniors and they said that companies like microsoft, Adobe offers them internship, with girls leading them
Placement Experience
The placements are quite good, for btech the average package is 9.5lpa with the highest package being 80+ lpa, the median package is around 7.5 lpa. The college starts providing internship opportunities to students form the 5th semester only, and also let them choose a minor subject from 3rd semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
My Annual fees is 334600, for the first year and yes it increases. The total fees for 4 years of btech is 1441900, excluding the hostel fees which is 1 lakhs per semester. Our college provides scholarship opportunities to ews student with its policy called as tution waiver fees program.
Campus Life
In JIIT there are a lot of clubs which comes under JYC which is jaypee youth club, but the problem I faced was these clubs are managed by students only with very less professor interaction, and they don't provide certificates too so it becomes really difficult to out them in your CV/resume
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are quite good, with over 2000+ Hostellers, but the only drawback is that the hostel facility is only available in sector 62 campus and not in sector 128 campus, but the college provides bus facilities for sector 128 students. The bus leaves form sector 62 campus at 8:15am and then comes back at around 3:30-5:15pm
Admission
I scored 95% in pcm cbse class 12, i was getting a lot of colleges like AKG, ABES, Amity, upes, Galgotias,But i opted for JIIT as it'll help in getting a better exposure, though in class 11th I was planning for IIT but I was unable to do well in my mains examination, probably because of my laziness only.
Faculty
We've got a very confused marking scheme as the teachers themselves don't know jow the students will be marked as every activity of student is taken while marking him/her. We've 3 exams every semester namely T1, T2, T3
