Course Curriculum Overview

I want to become an join in aviation industry and for that I want to develop my language skills and that's why I choose English .They support us to develop our communication skills by sharing notes and gave extra knowledge except from the books and practice us to learn English by gaving assignments, seminars and so on.

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 6040 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearwise fee that I paid is 6050, because I joined in the college by reservation.I got admission in community quota reservation and I have to pay full fee for the 3 years.There has reservations and fee relaxation for sc and st students.There are Post matric scholarship and other scholarships provided.

Campus Life

There are programs conducted by union and a vast library which consists of 70000 books and 125 journals .it improves the learning skills of students and helps students in extra learning and research purposes.and the college also have 10 newspaper subscriptions that improve students current affairs knowledge.The college has a comuter lab and the lab is equipped with 25 computer with internet connectivity.

Admission

I heard about this college a lot and I like this college so much that's why I join here.It is one of the famous college in Thrissur district and so many famous personalities are studied in this campus.The college was nice and the faculties are good .And good atmosphere is the key feature of this college.I applied to this college through normal Calicut University ug admission portal and didn't have any interview or tests to join.

Faculties are very well qualified and they are friendly in nature They support us in both accademic and personal life.They also gave priority to the co-curricular activities.And they help us in studies and ready to solve our doubts.The exams are conducted in semester system and the completed two exams are good and easy to score

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching,the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Great life from college

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many aspects of the curriculum that infulenced my decision to choose BA English Literature in St. Berchmans College. Their syllabus is far more challenging and interesting than what other colleges and universities offer in Kerala. The examinations and overall assessment of projects and grades are top-tier and is comparatively difficult to obtain. The course steadily provides good quality information and knowledge on English Litearture and readies the student to be more than qualified for further studies in English Literature or any related courses. The areas where they can improve in the course curriculum is through availing more optional courses such as various other language courses/philosophy related courses to be selected. Their teaching environment can also be improved by improving basic infrastructure in the classrooms such as airflow etc. They conduct their exams freequently and on time. The examinations are challenging but necessary for overall improvement in students
