Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course because of my interest in accounting firms and can learn other things.I'm interested in the accounting and finance field, so I chose this course. It will be helpful for my career. In my batch, all students got an internship opportunity as it was in the curriculum itself, aso it was a subject in one of the semester. Apart from the curriculum, We have been taught computer applications like Tally and SPSS windows, it very helpful for my future.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are compulsory in my course. The companies offered under internship is Manufacturing companies, IT companies, Service companies and the roles is based on students course only like b.com students can get internship in financial field. After finishing internship, department conduct projects and viva for students and it was a subject in 6th semester.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placement in 6th semester only. So many reputed companies visit my college and recruit students. The companies like Accenture, Deloitte, IT companies, TCS, CTS, Wipro and so on. The highest package as per company is around ?300000 and the average package is around ?150000. Most of the students in my college got placements. Average of 60%, the students getting their placement. My plan after completion of my graduation is to pursing higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
B.com general fee structure is ?55,000 per year. My college provides various scholarships for single parent students, backward students, and SC caste students, like Laksmi charities, etc. Every student should pay the fees of ?55,000 per year. Admission fees, registration fees, and exam fees are available in my college but vary from year to year.
Campus Life
In my college, every 3 months they conduct culturals, Inter College competition, Inter department competition, Pongal festival, Onam festival, Diwali festival and so on. My college has a digital Library. The range and accessibility of books and journals are so good. They also provide sports and extra curricular activities like football, volleyball, kabadi, Rally etc. My college has various clubs like Rotaract club, Nss camp, and also connected with other college's Rotaract club.
Admission
Sdnb Vaishnav college is very safe because it is women college , so many parents are choosing this type of colleges. I got spot admitted for b.com general without any donations. The exam most preferred by students is based on School/12th class result for Ug students, while for Pg , graduation marks are taken into account
Faculty
Good qualified teachers are available; they are very helpful to students who struggle to learn.If we don't, whatever the college, the semesters would be tough. In my college, the pass percentage is 40% for UG courses. Exams won't be that much difficult; they will be average and not easy also. We should score above 40 in all subjects. I'm satisfied with this college because of its teachers. I think all faculties are the best to teach the lesson but some faculties are very rude to students.
