Comprehensive Review of Jain College Engineering and Research

The course which is designed for our scheme by the university is totally outdated. More therotical knowledge than pratical. And there is not relation between the theory and practical assessments. The curriculum is not practical or real world problems solving oriented. It's moreover like outdated technology implementing for modern problems. This curriculum would have better if it has good aspects like, In our 6th we have subjects 'Software Engineering and Project Management ' and a 'Mini Project ' , but we didn't find it much interesting. If they have coined this, We study software engineering as theory, rather we would have explored it along with mini project, we would have got real experience about industrial standards. But we end up with writing therotical answer in exam without understanding a single word. Well 3 Internal Assessment are conducted in a semester and A Final assessment. Exam difficulty level is a bit difficult because it's more therotical than practical.

A minimum number of Companies visit every year. But a good number of students, who actually deserve are placed that's for sure... Companies like Scientific Games, Dlithe, Pranashka Technologoies, TCS, Wipro etc Visits Well in last 3 batches, the initial 2 batches got placed with 70% , and the last batch is not so performed well... Around 20 students got decent placement.

The overall experience with campus life is wrost. There is no proper infrastructure and we cannot use mobile phones in the campus. Even random principal or other staff finds our mobile in on condition even we are not using it in the campus it will be seized. We have to keep our mobile always in switch off condition. Well in social aspects or fest kind of things it's decent enough. Don't expect more

Well my CET Ranking was around 40,000 and this college was good, even if it lacks in infrastructure and other facilities but, this college was having a good placements and the teaching was good compared to other colleges

The faculty students ratio for engaging the class is 1:60 For mentorship it's 1:30 Faculties are good enough. But some of the faculty members are very supportive and encouraging that's the plus point. Overall decent teaching. Not so poor. But college lacks in infrastructure that's the negative advantage for sure.
