Remarks

One of the finest place to study and practice. atmosphere is very hot for kolkata but 1 year was my bet ever experience. the are offering the best study and class of living.

I got CAT and scored 95 percentile and opt this college as this is one of the best. it is offering the cource which i was trying to get since a long.

Course Curriculum Overview

Very related to curriculum with contemporary practices. not very bookish studies but discussions and debates about current scenerio. we got lot of case studies.

Internships Opportunities

Lots of companies came with our aluminise reference and some of the offered stipend. i gor in PepsiCo and they paid me and after that i joined that one only.

Placement Experience

Good and according to students. all students got placed with big MNC's but some of them started their own. students got the jobs according to their caliber.

College Events

Management fest and other events collaborated with othe IITs and IIMs. but you didnt get time to sing and dance. the fest are also releted to case studies only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. 23 Lacs. for a normal middile calss it is expensive but it is like an investment. once you got pass out from this you will get trhe best packege.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not exactly by college. But most of the banks are offering loans. many companies are offerinfg their employees free study at campus with some bonds.

Campus Life

Best experience. I got many good friends. campus was like a resort. environment was very suuportive. we got gym and sport complex also including sweemingpool.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are like 1 BHK type and very good food. Would rate 8 out of 10. food is very good and healthy. good gardens and lakes. you will find pease and calmness.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

On portal you will get all alumni. Good network. they are supportive and helping natured. you can ask for any help from them. lots of students got job because of this network only.

Exam Structure

Quite subjective. Not looking like EXAM. the paper we got on mails and after solving we have to upload that to site. weekly papers and case studies.

Faculty

Very good and helping. the got very vast knowledge and legecy of experience. the are alluminies of IIM's only and members of lots of boards. so they helped with real cases.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

Placements are good sometimes but not exactly sure because some batches are not placed somes are placed or somes are not then they trying to get placement for own if i talk about the percentage of placement then i would say 60% not 100%,for 3rd semester students are eligible for placement & one terms is here that is 75% attendance is mandatory for getting placement, i have visited 3-4 companies & they offer 3.7-4 lpa package,my plan after getting the degree, firstly i looking for a company around 4-5lpa package then i started to develop my self

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Last semester students become eligible for campus placements. Name of the companies visited - TCS, WIPRO, MICROSOFT, TATA, IBM , AMAZON etc. 51,00,000/yr highest package and average package 5,50,000 as per company and profiles offered. 97% students are getting placements. My plans start a business after getting the degree.

Students are eligible for campus placements from the fifth term. 300+ companies visit the campus to recruit 500 students. The highest package is 70LPA and the Average package is 20LPA. 100% placements. after getting the degree students will join the recruited companies.

The eligibility for this course is having a bachelor's degree with minimum of 55% of marks and then the cut off for CAT exam varies from student to student. They calculate the composite scores for every student considering different factors like academic background, work experience, gender diversity, past academics, etc. I would recommend that the institute should have a fair shortlisting criteria which should be disclosed to everyone because I saw people topping the CAT exam still not getting calls from institute because of their strict criteria especially for general engineer male....Read More

Enrolling at IIM Kolkata was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I enrolled in an MBA at IIM Kolkata due to my strong interest in the subject.
