Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum looks pleasing but just like any course it has its pros and cons. The curriculum is enough for preparing us for architecture life but its so closely packed that its hard for average students to catch up. There are two semesters a year and two internal and one external exam for each semester

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 178930 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is around 1.8 lakhs after miscellaneous fees for management. While there are scholarships available for various reservations categories, it usually comes around 1lakh minimum. Every semester you are needed to complete dues of all fees before registering for the next semester.

Campus Life

There are programs and fests in the college but it is a hassle to get approved and executed by the management. The architecture department does offer a zonal national convention and an annual national convention every year bringing together all the colleges of architecture.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are not bad for the fees. There isnt much furnitures other than a bed and a masonry cupboard. Yes it is affordable but most of the students move to a rented house or PGs after 2 to 3 years. The hostel is divided into 3 blocks but all of them are just average level.

Admission

This college is ranked second for bachelor of architecture in the category of private colleges. The college was established a long time aho and it is well known throughout Kerala. The admission process is through an exam called NATA and allotment is done by KEAM.

Faculty

The faculties are very partiall and always favours the studnets they like. There are no proper faculties for some subjects like graphics, its usually taken by someone not so good at the subject itself. On the other hand there are faculties specially for some subjects like theory of structures and building materials

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

I choose this college because this was the best college I was getting from my rank obtained in KEAM. I cleared the cutoff for this college in second round.Admission here are given on the basis of their rank of obtained in either KEAM(Kerala engineering architecture medical entrance test) or NATA.

Good Express till now

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

Life at MES College Of Engineering Kuttippuram

I applied for several government engineering colleges but because of KEAM rank I got admission in a engineering college at kannur for civil engineering then I rejected it , then I got admission at Amal Jyothi engineering College for btech food technology, i rejected this also then I choose my college because my college is the first self financing college in Kerala so choose my college.Fo getting admission in my college first you should qualify KEAM exam with ranks up to 50000, then you can easily get admission in my college through KEAM allotment process. I don’t know because I haven’t attain any internships

I applied to several reputed colleges which offering similar programs in AI AND DS such rajagiri ,CET , Amal Jyothy etc.but in merit i get a college named mentor in ernakulam which is not having a good placements or acedamic performance and no a good transport itself.and I choose this college because a very good •academic reputation •infrastructure facilities •placement opportunities •lactation and accessibility •scholarships or financial aids This combination of factor made this college a ideal choice for my academic and professional aspire. Yes I did rejected by one college of my 12th percentage but they call me at last but I choose this college because that is a very bad in placements or academic performance and I focused more to a good academic and much better college for my career.and at last this made me to understand my strength and areas for grow and made to focus on making the opportunities that I have in this college and made me for the personal growth too and to build a strong gang certifications in the key areas too.the admission process in our college is mix of merit and management quotas depending upon the course.
