An In depth review on NIT Jamshedpur from academics, campus life and beyond

The course curriculum is here like all other NITs and IITs same , like old theoritical no real life implementation. But now some new advances trending courses are being introduced here like AI,ML and all which is good for gainnig real life skills .Slowly Slowly the curriculum is being updated . The frequency of exams are like same in like all the colleges four exams , two mid and two end terms in the year . the enough preparation gaps in between

At NIT Jamshedpur we have the tutuion fees of 75k per semester , 18k mess fees and 15 k hostel fees per semester . In total the annual fees is 213000 for the B.Tech student in any course . To relax down the burden there is having couple of scheme like the one is fee remission which is given on the basis of the family income like 1/3rd , 2/3rd or full remission. If you are elegible to your state government scholarship like from Bihar , Jharkhand , MP, Maharastra or any state you can claim here depending upon the criterion . Like here many of my friends recieved E-Kalayan, MMVY , etc .

The campus life is one the best part in anyones college journey , for mine too the best thing in college is campus life , my peers, hostels lifes, the times of various fests , main fest , technical branch fest , festive events thorugh out the year is best thing . The clubs from Soft skills , debating to dancing , quizzing to technical aspects aerodynamics to all every clubs here is so good if you really have the passion to build something you will get good peer here. The infrstructure is i definately say one of the best in all the nits newly developed academic building advanced ac rooms , central library where you will get all the required books and resources . All the thing in terms of social ,cultural aspect is best .

The main reason for me chosing this college is the placement here, it is among the top 5 NITs in tems of placement , only placement is the major factor which lands me here. And the branch which i am getting here is also one of the reason , beacause college is different thing and branch is different thing. Branch really do matters in both IIT and NIT as well , so choose wisely if you are getting good branch here definately opt here, and even if you are getting lower branch it is the best college for core branches as well due to its geographical location , every branch has best 85- 100 % placement rate.

The faculty here are both like mix of good or bad, some are very supportive here like background from IITs, NITs , and major big colleges of India ,have some in top 2% in wholw world and some is little like they dont want to teach they just come for the sake of salary , and some might also dont even care about there way of teaching. But some are very much dedicated and inspiring you would definately love to go each and every class of them. The result system in our college is CGPA based and there is not relative grading , if you study through the semester , listen properly to classes only you will definately ended up having very high grades but if you ignore or totally sideline your studies you will suffer alot here in some subjects like chemistry , ECE .
