Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BA. English Triple Main which focuses on 3 courses that is English literature, communication and journalism. Even though course specifies the subjects curriculum mainky focuses on English Literature. I chose this course to mainly get into Journalism field but the course deprives of practical learning of journalism. But still English Literature curriculum is great in this course.
Internships Opportunities
internships are done by both college and by students themselves. Mostly students find internships on thier own. In our department media internships are regular and many students have been a part of it.
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay 43,000 per year for my course , BA English Triple Main. I had made a deposit of 1,00,000 rupees before joining the college which will be refunded by the college once i passout. Exam fees registration is 700 - 750rs. Merit students need not pay the 1,00,000rs before joining college.
Campus Life
The annual fest conducted by our college is known as Inceptra. Its an intercollegiate fest conducted by college with various departments conducting various programs and games throughout the day. Students across the states participate for the event from different colleges. Inceptra is usually conducted in the month of january. Library is vast and huge and has all kind of books with evey kind of genres. All classrooms have powerpoint presentors and other needed facilities. Football , Basketball and other university tournaments happens in our college. Especially basketball tournaments are done in our campus. Dance club , Music club , Drama , Media , Pet club , DIY club , Yoga club and many more clubs are part of the campus. all these clubs help the students to rectify and help them to curiculate thier cultural preferences.
Admission
I applied and got into Christ university but chise Rajagiri College because its near to where i live and had a huge name weight in our state. I had applied to other colleges but didn't attend thier interviews since i got into rajagiri. Application process is simple . First apply form through thier website, then attend thier interview. Questions were based on english grammar and journalism. Finnally if you get in you have to pay an advance amount to fix the seat. this was the admission process.
Faculty
very approachable and good faculty. treats students very well. each semester has 2 internal exams and 1 sem exam. Semester exams can lag due to inconsistency of university desicions. Faculty is very friendly and helps you with all sorts of problems academics and other.
