Review of Mechanical Engineering in Nirma

The main subjects i was interested were Dynamics of Machine, Manufacturing Process-1 and 2, Computer-aided Manufacturing and Fluid Engineering. Yes as i said some faculty have a good knowledge of industries and know very well but most faculty only have bookish knowledge. The teaching methods should be more practical They should always teach the concept and then give them the example of real world like in which machine it will be applied. The timing of exams is mostly 2 to 5 pm. The end sem paper is of 100 marks. The mid term paper is of 50 marks but in one day two mid-term papers take place. The timing of mid term is given two hours. And then 3 hours break is given for next mid term exam so in mid term exam we have one in the morning and second in the evening. As mentioned the difficulty level is 30%.

Currently, the internship are getting offered after sem 6 and sem7. Since i am currently in sem6 so i don't have much idea about it but whatever i know i am writing it all. Isro and bis give projects at regular basis and offering internship roles with a stipend of 10k.tcs is also giving internships to the cs dept at 7k stipend. Indian oil, bosch company etc. The stipend of all this company ranges from 7k to 25k max. The average stipend is around 10k-15k. Currently, i am working on bis project regarding transmission line design parameters calculation funded by bis and the amount funded is 7.5 lakhs.

Placement of my college for mechanical is 7.5 lpa avg placement ratio for all branches is approximately 93%. A total of 100 students opt for placement in my dept last year out of 160. The package in my college was highest in computer science company was google and 3 people got a package of 50lpa. The highest package of mechanical dept was 14lpa. Recuring companies: Bosch Rexroth, Tata Motors, Tata power, Adani, reliance,ingersol rand, Jyoti cnc,waree renewables, amazon,mahindra, google, TCS. My plan after degree is to get on-campus placement. Because i have chosen this college over LDCE due to the placement reason only Moreover the placement as compared to other colleges in terms of avg package is good than other colleges od Gujarat and mechanical, civil and electrical are the best-known branches of Nirma University. Also c2c lecture and subject is going on where how to talk in placement is being carried out and disciplines to be followed in placement going on.

The yearly fees i am paying for btech is 1,97,050/- It includes all tution fees,lab fees,exam fees and libray charges etc. There are certain scholarship of instutute self like nirma scholarship scheme in which top 10 students get 50k compensation from university. While MYSY scholrship is also there run by state govt education in which tution fees etc gets waived off.But the terms and conditions of that scholarship is decided by state and eleigibity crieteria also. Main events of nirma university: Vaudeville- itnu event in april Praveg - mech event in feb Ashwamedh- Law event in april Kalp- Architect event Nuzeal- Management event. Yes all the books are easily available in the library and stationery. Moreover, there is new central library opening in our college and currently under construction. Here the classroom has basic facilities like a blackboard, projector and lights fans. Only 8-9 classes in whole Nirma have facilites of ac rest are non ac classes only. In sports you can play in the grounds only and also not during your lectures so mostly people play after 6 pm and mostly hostel people only play beacuse the rest public go to home getting exhausted from 9-6. Sports activity like inter-department, inter institute and intercollege cricket badminton competitions etc takes place. Our mechanical faculty name Ath Singhal runs iste club. Also, there is mesa of our dept in which activities take place. Also, there is NCC and tech clubs like Stallions Robocon Arrow etc.

I had applied for Ahmedabad university au and ldce luckily my ACPC rank was good under 1300 so I can get into any college of gujarat in mechanical engineering. So i had applied for ldce in round 1 and even gone there for 10 days but somehow i wasn't comfortable and was willing to change my choice and go to Nirma. Reasons for not choosing ldce college: As it was govt less practical knowledge was given. The placement ratio in ldce is less than nirma. The system there is not fast just what you expect in government institutions. Canteen and campus were old and needed to be renovated. Admission process of my Nirma College: The ratio of acpc and jee was 50:50 in 2022 but now it has changed i don't know exact weightage now and there is no management quota like Indus University. Since the weightage of jee has increased and now gujcet exam has been waived off so i would say exam jee should be preferred for admission to be taken in Nirma. Cutoff for ec and computer is acpc rank under 1000 after round 3.

The faculty to student ratio is we have 80 students ans 2 divisions so in third year there are total 160 students and our department has 25 faculty so if i do it for 4 year it is around 25 students there is 1 faculty. The best faculty of mechanical engineering nirma are Anand Bhatt, Absar Lakdawala, Shehbaz Menon, Sanjay Jain, Dhaval Patel, and Prashant Bagga. Anand bhatt has very good knowledge and also has polite nature and will solve your doubt. He will understand our problems which other faculty would not. Exams here are moderate like 70% paper is easy you can score while rest 30% is tough and tricky. Out of 160 students, approx 20 students get failed in the subjects if subjects us tough then it goes to 35- 40 also. The course curriculum is relevant here. They also provide you with a syllabus and topics and course policy.
