A true life experience

The management has provided a good infrastructure that invites regular student crowd from other architectural colleges for studying the architecture building and campus as a case study. Our building is the envy of others.

The curriculum is structured such that there are more practical subjects than theory. Everything we learn is through project-based learning and hands-on workshops - as it is practical it is easier to understand and remember. Only for theory papers, it is written exams, for studio-based courses its oral viva voce - which is conducted by external practicing architects - so unbiased and fair review.

The internship was for two semesters earlier - we have to work in an architects firm approved by the college. Now the internship is for a minimum of 120 days.

There are a lot of events apart from regular academics like Design Festo, Joint studio with universities in India and abroad, Workshops, Guest lectures, Food festival, Open house, Parents day, Design Competition participation is made mandatory every semester.

The first-year fee is Rs.2,50,000/- tuition fee, 35,000 admission fee, processing fee, and caution deposit. Every year the tuition fee is Rs.2,50,000/-. If you are availing bus or hostel the fee is as per the distance you travel and the kind of room you choose in the hostel.

Not applicable as I did not avail any scholarship or educational loan. But in the case of both the main office would assist.

Campus life is diversified and fun. It is a very beautiful green campus - green with lots of trees and all the new buildings are energy rated. The gender ratio is 50:50 in architecture and in a few classes the girls are more. There are students who are NRIs. We have huge ground and play area for sports. A full-fledged Gym on the campus and in the hostels.

Senior students are very friendly and helpful. During organizing events, we work together. There are few students among the past out batches where seniors and juniors together have started their practice and firm.

Admission is through application following which there was a one on one counseling. I was told that not only aptitude but the right attitude is also required to do the course - so hence counseling. The counseling was during the month of June. Counseling dates were sent via mail.

Faculty are with us guiding and mentoring. Very friendly and approachable faculty. Strict when it comes to adhering to submission dates and regularity. They conduct late studios for the benefit of the students. They extract the best out of us. Students can discuss with them even during off hours
