Remarks
The college, in conclusion, is my choice as it has an amazing infrastructure and is green, has helpful staff and has a wide diversity of extracurricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
This college is deemed, so they have their own curriculum. They focus more on conceptual design and basic sketching, drafting and rendering skills in the first two semesters. The exams are majorly practical, and this helps in assessing a student's ability in real life. The theory courses are well structured, everything leaned towards helping the student to better design.
Placement Experience
The college is reputed to have a high placement guarantee. To my best knowledge, the college is true to its reputation. Internships are hard to come by in general, and they have very less to do with the college.
College Events
Our college has a lot of events, the main being the Cresfest that takes place every year, and goes on for three days. CSA has its own cultural and event, DesignFesto. It is an event that was filled with fun activities, competitions, and minor events, that required everyone to participate. We also have food fests and exhibitions. We do not let down whenever it comes to events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course being architecture, the annual fees are considerably high, at two and a half lacs. This college provides LEED certification, and that course is one lac, paid once for the entirety of this course. The materials required for an architect is born by the student, and in general, it costs a student around twelve thousand. The rest of the year is additional, for all the projects and designs, an average of 15k.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are given to those who come state first or get the highest in boards. They are also eligible for those who maintain straight as in their first year.
Campus Life
The campus is large, green and quiet. There are canteens, shops, and restaurants within the college. If one has a passion for sports, they are invited to join the teams. There are clubs for all extracurricular activities: photography, music, dance, hosting and so on. The students are of all various ethnicities and religions, and they are comfortable with each other. The male to female ratio varies from department to department, but in general, 3:2.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fees range from 75k to 150k depending on the type of room you wish to accommodate, which ranges from 4 in a room to 2 in a room, with or without ac, and with or without an attached bathroom. The food is good, with a variety every day. They have laundry, playing fields, a gym, TV rooms and so on. WiFi is available throughout the college and also in the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
The college prides on its alumni. One can reach any alumni through the website. The senior students of CSA are helpful and friendly.
Admission
Architecture has been my dream course for a long time. I chose this course in this college because no other had a campus and infrastructure as good as the Crescent School of Architecture. The admission process was fairly easy and quick. It starts immediately after the NATA results are out. Overall, the staff guidance was good and hence the process went smoothly.
Faculty
The faculty in CSA are friendly, supportive and helpful in all aspects of this course. The dean is especially supportive of students and welcomes us whenever we have a query. Our staff has always been guiding us through course-related queries and through non-related as well.
