Likes
- Faculty. Government medical College Vikarabad has excellent lectures, professors, HODs. The academics are very well.
- A good number of exams are conducted so as to get practiced and gain confidence for final university examinations.
- Mentorship quality of our college faculty is excellent. Mentors are very well supportive, patient and empathetic.
Dislikes
- Basic facilities in hostel. There is no proper security for girls hostel specially.
- Security guards should be placed in the college campus also and boundary walls should be constructed.
- There is no proper water facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is excellent and provide integrative classes for improvement of knowledge. Medicine as my career pathway is chosen by me because of the passion in me for serving the Creations of the world. The course is excellent and I have no problems with it.
Internships Opportunities
Internships will be provided in the government hospital it self and we don't know the exact amo6of stipend given as we are still 1st yr students. All the intership facilities are available except for scholarship which is not provided.
Fees and Financial Aid
Paid: MBBS First Year Fees- 23000/Ann Hostel fees- 25000/ Ann To be paid : Per year : (For next 4½ years) 12000 - Tution fees 25000 - Hostel fees Have applied for scholarship in the first year but no updates till now from the government. All of the students have same fee structure. There is no management quota in our college because it's a Government aided medical university.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is very poor and no proper hostels and facilities are provided. Sports and extracurricular activities are provided. The academic facilities are good and supportive faculties are there. We have no seniors as we are the first batch here because of which it is difficult to cope up and get used to the university life.
Hostel Facilities
Some basic Facilities are not available. No proper washrooms, no luggage racks are provided. There are snakes and other creatures roaming in the hostel. Which is quite dangerous. Food quality is not up to the mark.
Admission
Admission process includes councelling. In 1st round of councelling after the Neet UG exam, i got this college according to my merit. I've also applied for sliding process but even in the 2nd round i didn't get other colleges.
Faculty
Faculty are good and supportive. Theyre extremely experienced and very well teaching. MBBS has a total of 19 subjects. Out of which 1st year has 3 subjects Each subject has theory and practical Theory exams consists of 100 marks and practical exams has 100 marks each. 40 is the passing mark for theory exam and 50 is the passing mark for practical exams. MBBS examinations are definitely hard to pass Every year the pass percentage is 70 % remaining fail.
