Likes
- There was as such no compulsion of the attendance .
- A lot of time for the students, to do other chores like preperation and all
- The teachers and papers were fine , You can easily prepare and pass.
Dislikes
- The campus life is not so well, there are hardly any efforts from college side .
- There is not internship opportunities for the students.
- Boys Hostel is at a distance of 4 to 5 km from the college
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum to be frank is very old and need massive updates, They are very academics driven , However this is the age of being pragmatic about technology. It requires a bit of flexibility from the faculty side as well to get better placement driven results.
Placement Experience
See the placements are pretty fine and comparable to other state colleges. For MECHANICAL and CHEMICAL beach , this is the best college, provides 100 percent placement in these branches, However it's quite fine in other batch as well. Some companies that visit are TCS , SAMSUNG, MARUTI , HONDA, HAVELLS etc
Fees and Financial Aid
Okay , It was a 4 year course , so for the first year my fees was 1,37,500 rupees, and 1,25,000 in the subsequent three years .So total lumlpsum fees was about 5,00,000 for the whole course. There were some fee waiver seats as well in every branches , which takes less fees. Yes we were eligible for UP Scholarship, proved by the state government, which was about 55,000 every year for general and OBC students and 80 to 90,000 for sc st candidates.
Campus Life
The campus life is far away fron what you expect of a college. The college never takes care of such things for the students. Its the students only who puts efforts, took permissions from college, and organise things like festa and events. Our fests are AAGAZ sports fest , ADHYAY Cultural fest . Club culture is also there but students efforts.
Admission
So I gave uptu exam and got air 939 on that exam. So In the state universities, my best option was MMM Gorakhpur IT branch , JSS Noida IT branch and HBTU Kanpur Electronics branch out which I chose HBTU because of the brand name that it have. However today i think I would be going with JSS Noida for good reasons.
Faculty
See ,the faculty is kind of old school type. They focus on the academics , want students to focus more on academics and papers which needs to be updated a bit. You can make healthy relationships only if you want to study , otherwise they are very strict in nature. Ofcourse the exam system is fine , 2 semesters in an year apart from practical exams , mid sems and end sems are there .
