My Experience

I love to learn Literature as it is the only thing that is connected to our life and my career is to become a professor so I thought this would be my right place that's the Main reason for me to choose Literature and I love literature. My curriculum prepares me well how to face my life after graduation. But I have no idea about how much it works when it comes to reality. In my curriculum I will suggest the faculties in my course to teach with the original text of the book but nowadays not many teachers have the ability to teach the students by speaking fluently in English . They lack in that and in the teaching method their only rush is to complete the portions of that particular semester but they can improve their language and they can also give some coaching to the students by preparing them for government exams and by providing informations about how to get passed in the government exams. The frequency of exams is there is two internal exams in a semester and one semester exam

As a literature student I don't have internship opportunities because we don't have such opportunities in my college but there is so many opportunities for internship in other departments . And when it comes to our projects in literature we have to chose an author and two of their books we have to choose a title for our project and we have to justify our topic in the project the title that we choose for our project should be something that could make a change in our society and we have to give all the points to justify our title and the outcome of our project will be appreciated by marks in the semester

For post graduation degree students are eligible to attend placements after their second semester and in the undergraduate degree students are eligible to attend placements in their final year. They also have placements training class at their final year to get some knowledge about placements and how to perform in placements. There are lots of companies giving placements to our students and the most important company is Sutherlan and our seniors got placed there for 3,00000 lpa. Around 60% of students are getting placed through placements in our college and my plan after completing my degree is to get place in a great position in a company or to clear NET exam.

The semester wise fee for my course is about 25,000 and the registration fee is 1500 there is no lab fees and the exam fee may differ for various semester it will be around 1500 - 2500 . I didn't have any scholarships for my division

They don't celebrate more festivals in this college they only have the major festivals in this college like onam celebration and pongal celebration they also don't allow us to dance for cinema songs in this college and they also don't encourage the students to participate in cultural events from various other colleges. The faculties are qualified faculty members in this college and the facilities inside the classroom is also good they provide smart classroom facilities in this college tjey also offer language lab facilities for the students . The college encourages the students in sports activities they have a accommodative ground for the students to play and some students have also won some prizes in Sports activities. Students have some student portals through which they could improve the needs of the students by bringing it to the knowledge of the management they also helps them to improve the facilities for students. The infrastructure of the college is too good and clean

The hostel of my college is not that good because there is no good hospitality in this hostel we don't feel so hygienic in this hostel they don't maintain the toilets neatly and the place where they prepare food for the hostellers don't be hygienic and sometimes students get sick and some problems after eating the hostel food and they provide non veg only once of two months. The quality of meal is also not that good qnd it is very rare to get a tasty food they also don't provide snacks for the students at evening. They provide eggs twice a week but sometimes they won't cook it properly. You can apply for hostel when you register for your course and you have to pay 3000 as an advance to book your room and you are not allowed to use iron box ,kettle or any other electronic items inside the hostel . If you don't have vacancies for rooms in the hostel you can accommodate in PG. There is many PG near our college and it is very easy for you to stay there

I have also applied in Chennai. The college I have applied in Chennai are Madras Christian College, women's Christian college and Vels University . I have also attended the exams to get seats in the college but after that I couldn't afford the fees structure of the colleges and I don't like the that faculties engaged with us in that college I didn't get offer from MCC and WCC because I had scored low percentage in my UG even though I have done well in my entrance exam I could not get a seat there because of my low percentage I got a seat in Vels university but I felt it as a long distance from my native and I heard that it is not safe to study there as a hosteller. Then I chose to study in coimbatore I've applied in PSGR krishnammal college and Kongunadu Arts and Science College but I couldn't afford the fees of PSGR and there is no hostel facility for girls inside the college campus so I have joined in Kongunadu and I can afford the fees here. There are so many faculties in my department but the strength of the students in my course is decreasing gradually as none of the current generation students are not interested to chose their career in the field of arts. I'm not interested to mention the name of the faculty but there are some good souls in my department they are very friendly and they encourage the students as much as possible they also provide some emotional support to the students by giving some advice but some faculties are not that good they show some personal grudge to the students whole valuating the papers. This is not the right way for a faculty to behave with the students sometimes we feel very low because of their actions. There are two internal exams in a semester and the exam will be conducted for 75 marks for 3 hours and one semester exam which is also for 75 marks and the question paper will be a bit hard when it comes to semester and 90% can clear the exams
