Likes

I liked the central Library that was in collage and it can be used by every one and you can also borrow the books for 15 days
There is also a large ground with many more different sports facility
I also like the canteen which is very hygiene and they also hire the best chef

Dislikes

Some staff faculty in the counter are very rude
I don't like politics in academic level, there are lot of student union which are involved in politics

There are course that are already selected and apart form that you can also select self-finance course wich will cost some extra according to the cot you have selected there are also many schems that offen come in college with some subscription.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took the admission with feewavier benifit which only cost me 900 for admission. In first sem i took the scholarship from NSP in the month of October it was an OBC scholarship I got a sum of 8000rs. There also have many facilities like library for students

Campus Life

My overall experience in this college is pretty good till now. They also create opportunity to the aspects you are good at by organising sports, Art competition twice a year. They also have clubs for NCC and NSS which are non political.

Admission

I have got the confirmed admission from many colleges like Tezpur college, LOKD college but instead i choose this college for better education and it is more suitable for the environment for studying. Admission process is also easy it's half online and half offline process.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is pretty balanced and also have assistant professor for cover up the initial professors every one are PHD level professors there are 2 exams in one semester 1is sessional exam and another is final exam of the semester

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. The exam timings are perfect along with the perspective of their difficulty level.

Gauhati Commerce College : A premier Institution for Conmerce Education with Evolving Opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.

I applied to various colleges but I confirmed Darrang College because this college is near to my home as compared to others . I didn't got rejection from other colleges. I didn't make it there because the course I wanted to study was not there . The admission process is merit based . Improvement in Sports activities needed

I applied for EFLU (Shillong Campus), Central University of Karnataka, Tezpur University, Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University and some of their affiliated colleges like Darrang College, DHSK College and many more. I did get pass through the merit lists of Karnataka, Darrang and DHSK. I had to choose Darrang because the last date for admission in DHSK, I was unable to go there due to personal reasons & I forgot about the Karnataka application form. I chose this college among others cause this college is in middle assam which is more safe than other parts and also have a great environment in the campus and also the college is good , and the people in it .
