Course Curriculum Overview

I like economics as it has some scope in arts group after finishing 12Th. But in this college only combination it has economics, political science and history . And there is no update syllabus or proper in any of this subject. This autonomous college simply adding subject like vocational course etc. It will nice if they give industrial training, practical training. To improve placement in this college rather than Zomanto Tellecaller job

Fees and Financial Aid

I studied in bA economics with combination history, political science ,economics . And Fees structure is around 1,17000 3 years . But hostel fees is high around 7000 per month inside campus and I stayed outside and it cost 2500 per month with food . I travel a lot to hometown as it was lock down in that time and expenditure even reduced And I did not got scholarship and Got scholarships privately and not from government or college .

The book available in college library is not good as told by teacher in that college itself . Blood camp conducted in this college And sports is totally disappointed because no proper trainer , ground and equipment in this college

Admission

The admission process is simple this college only requires 70 percentage and above. my wish should choose a college and course different from others in the arts group for example I wish to choose a Pure BA economics course and the college is C.M.R university but I got bA Economics, political science and history triple major and a b plus grade college.

Faculty

Exam system is low compare to other college. I am telling this when I am studying 2020-2023 batch. The college conduct ia exam before semester exam And both the exam the question is repeated from previous year as you know it is easy to pass. But marking scheme is strict as question paper is easy

A good college for starting your new journey

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, psychology and english optional. The branches of criminology and psychology are upcoming in India in the present time. Course taught is revelant and in present. It is regularly updated. I chose tge course mainly due to criminology. Various aspects of the subject is covered in 6 semesters such as forensic, ballistics, cyber, laws, victimology etc. They do take us on field visits. There is one mid sem exam and one final exam. There is record work as well as assignments given at regular interval. The difficulty level is medium.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

My college experience

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
