Course Curriculum Overview
The goal of the curriculum is to achieve professional AI & DS engineers by the end of the course. The curriculum empowers the students with strong technical skills set. It emphasizes on innovative teaching and learning process in order to produce professionals with strong domain expertise. It provides strong ethical and human values along with problem solving skills.
Internships Opportunities
During second and third years there will be one and a half month of internship. Students can opt to work in/for the college if required. in final semester six months is allocated for final project work and internship.
Placement Experience
Campus placements start from the beginning of third year second semester. Many companies visit the campus for 3-2 or 4-1 semesters. By the starting of 4-1 sem of my seniors around 134 students were selected out of 156 students. the average package is 7 lakhs and the highest package is 22 lakhs per annum. A minimum of 85% students get placements no matter the course. But i plan on getting a degree of masters after my course in Vignan
Fees and Financial Aid
The starting package of the branch Artificial Intelligence and Data Science last year was 9 lakhs for management category. But students with merit were given a scholarship concession of upto 50%. The tuition fees normally is approxly 86000, but with the concession it is 54000 approx. In first year the other fees add upto 8000. But for the rest of the 3 years it is 3000/annum. The other fees include development fee, lab fee, library fee etc.
Campus Life
There are two main festivals done in Vignan every year. One is Vista celebrating Engineers day and the other is Yuva tharang celebrating youth day. vista is held in september and yuva tharang is held in january. All classrooms have smart boards along with normal white boards. there are approxly 30000 books and journals in the college. There are sports events constantly being held. There are several clubs here but the two main ones are SAC (student association commitee) and Media Cell.
Admission
I have applied to Gitam,VIT, and KLU colleges. I have gotten admission in KLU but it is pretty far from my hometown so I decided to join in Vignan. However I refused Gitam and VIT as they were offering higher prices for the courses that i need. To get admission in Vignan one must have a good inter and 10th score as well as JEE or EAPCET score.
Faculty
All the faculty members are friendly. There are more than enough faculty for each course. The faculty members are always readily available for interactions and doubts. But obviosly everyone has there own favourites, sheevaji sir, prameela mam, shravani mam are some of mine. They teach their subject uniqely and have a speacial spot in my heart. In first year there will be 10 subjects 5 theory and 5 lab. From second year there will be 9 subjects, 5 theory and 4 labs. Each subject has 30 internal and 70 external marks. 5% of the students tend to fail subjects. the course curriculum is pretty relevant to the student.
