Course Curriculum Overview
At first the faculties are very good in teaching that influenced me to choose this course. The curriculum prepared me too well that I can sit for further upcoming examinations. The only area that needs to be improved is the college authority must hire few more teachers even as a part time because there's a lack of teacher.
Fees and Financial Aid
My name is Bina Singha and I'm a graduate now. I completed my graduation from Lala Rural College. There was no such fees included except admission fees. No matter this college doesn't guarantee excellent marks but it surely makes its pupil a better human being, helps in character building and good personality. Recently our college celebrated its 60 years completion (Diamond Jubilee).
Campus Life
Our college never steps behind when there's any kind of celebration or festival. It always celebrates the joy of the occasion. Recently on August 13th the martyrs day of great freedom fighter Bir Tikendrajit of Manipur who was hanged by the British, our college observed the ceremony with chief guest from Manipur Dr Bimol Akoijam (MP). Talking about the library of our college, there we can find any kind of book related to our academics. Moreover our college doesn't step behind in sports either.
Admission
I applied to hailakandi's one of the topmost colleges i.e SS clg. I too got the chance to get admitted to that clg but I chose LRC because of the distance between my residence and the clg which is around 1.5 kms. I didn't get any rejection that was rather my own decision to choose LRC. Admission process is moderate as BPL students had to pay only minimum amount as compared to the students who are financially responsible.
Faculty
The faculties are very sincere and good to approach whenever the students need help. As I'm an English literature student I mostly liked my subject teachers namely AK mam , Dr M. Sinha, etc. There's no such teacher that I didn't like, every teacher does their job perfectly. Coming to examination, there's internal assessment consisting 20 marks and 10 marks for daily attendance and the rest 70 marks for theory. Only few students fail in these examinations. The course curriculum is too relevant.
