Course Curriculum Overview

3

Kannada and Holistic education development and right write are absolutely not needed I have no clue why we are being taught that there is no practical usage for kannada and I will 100% forget what is being taught with the rest of the thousand first years after I leave kannada classes, if only the above mentioned courses had some practical usage it would've been good but even if something good is being taught in class that would make us better humans , the faculty does not know how to teach and convey that properly the rest psychology nd English subjects are nice because we have just started so I cannot tell more

Internships Opportunities

4

As first years who have just started our college life we don't have any need for internships yet but there are placement cells available and also good faculty which would help us to get gold internships when needed so we can count on them

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year fees structure for psychology is 1 lakh 15 thousand rupees in total for non Karnataka students which was to be paid in once and for Karnataka students it is 100000 rupees I don't think there is scholarship or something as such for first years and BBA fees is 2,50,000? and bcom + CA is around one lakh 50 thousand

Campus Life

4

Campus Life is great after college hours we have various colleges fests , darpan , pedagogic league , magnificat, blossoms , bhasha utsav (ethnic day) and many more , so it's fun participating with others and aiming to win there is also start hunt organised for first year which is basically each class each section competing to see who's the best in creativity The library of Christ is absolutely the worst, it's a jail , we cannot bring books from outside , using mobile is not allowed, there aren't even many good books inside and the staff is very rude 1/10 experience please avoid the Library Each class has a projector and white board for the professors / students to use We have a huge football turf where we play many sports during tournaments lol apart from that our yeshwantpur campus is still expanding so it's fine we have many indoor and outdoor sports so don't worry about that. All the student groups/clubs/association are friendly so don't worry and join in the environment isgood

Admission

I applied to Ahmedabad University and amity university,Noida apart from Christ University Bangalore and everyone knows the brand name and value of Christ is so much higher than many other colleges so I chose Christ and I did not get rejection from any college which I applied to there was no such test for BA psychology so even if you get 60% marks in your 12th board don't worry you'll get admission just be confident in your admission process and interview and I chose Christ over the colleges because it is better for psychology aswell

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is nice we have on Campus counselor as well although not much help but for name same , I don't like few faculties for their study methods apart from that their nature is great atleast for psychology department, for English and psychology majors we only have 2 midsems so it's nice for first year i like Suman sir who takes our life skill Psych classes , ruchira ma'am and Krishna sir who are our English faculty I can't mention the name of the faculty I dislike because of fear of Christ lol

Other Applied Colleges

Amity University | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Applied Psychology)

Christ is soo much better than amity

Ahmedabad University | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Psychology)

Christ and amity both were better options + the fees was wayy more

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
