What Students Say
Likes
- The campus infrastructure is good, and is at par with many renowned state universities.
- Some of the faculty is experienced and is having fair enough knowledge on their respective subjects.
- Campus life is okay only when you are having great friend circle.
Dislikes
- Not all faculty members are good. They might not be even able to give learning experience.
- Some of the labs are extraordinary, but do not expect anyone to guide you for all doubts. One or two faculty is good in some labs, while others are just vain.
- Industrial exposure is so poor that we can't even expect good placement support from coordinators. Though one can expect many sales company visit, but not much for core departments.
Course Curriculum Overview
Just like everyone, I have pursued this course, as electronics just fascinate me. Though UG course of ECE doesnot prepare one for real world application, as it does not cover many relevant skills that are required in electronics industry. But one can expect that they are very much needed in pursing higher academic studies such as Mtech, Phd, and Ms in foreign country. Area of improvement in this curriculum is just to be updated with industry demand. And expose students with balance in theoretical knowledge along with applied engineering. The difficulty level of exam is much more dependent on faculty. But having semester exams in every 6 months prepares one for handling life pressure.
Fees and Financial Aid
1-Though my college is state government college, yet my course is fully self financed. The detailed fees structure for my B. tech course is as follow- * During my first year of my course, I have paid Rs. 126160 in total, including Rs 20000 from counselling institute. * During my second year, fees paid was Rs. 120160. * During my third year, fees paid was Rs. 120110. * During my fourth year, fees paid was Rs120160. 2-Per year they charged Rs 60k, as tuition fees; Rs 50k, as development fees; 8k, as examination fees; and other small charges. Caution fees of Rs. 5k is also included in fees submitted for 1st semester. 3-There is no distinction in fees on the basis of category. Everyone needs to submit same amount of fees every year. 4-Students can avail scholarship of max. Rs 15k through 'karmyogi scheme' of University. Through UP scholarship, students can avail Rs 6k-8k as scholarship and Rs 50k (General) - Rs 120k (SC/ST) as fee reimbursement.
Campus Life
Some of the anual and technical fests that are held in my campus every year are Aaryama, annual cultural fest; intercollege sports and debate competition; Quizes organised by various departments, dandiya and holi celebration during Dussehra and Holi. And many departmental workshops. All these cultural and sports fests are mainly organised by committee named, LUCSC. One can easily join committee after certain formalites of interview. This committee also holds heirarchy, one get even gets promotion as he/she become senior. Library is of average standard, one can access 2 books at a time, after getting issued. Some of the other clubs are robotics club, coding club, literary club, incubation team. One can easily get into one of them at a time. And can improve skills, personality and knowledge by orgainising and participating into them.
Admission
I have given two exams JEE and UPSEE, during my initial days. In jee i scored just 85 percentile, and with general category I couldn't make to get admission in any premiere institute. And the other exam was UPSEE, through which i participated in counselling. The colleges i got other than this one was ABES, Ghaziabad. But because of my negligance, I rejected that, thinking that University of Lucknow is age old and government university. So I chose this one, but who knows that my faculty is self financed and set up just 4 years before. Seeing large buildings and captivating infrastructure, I was lured and taken admission with no other option left. One can take admission in my university, with rank of 20-25k in UPSEE. And there is also provision of direct admission in my college.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio for each batch is around 1:12. All the faculty is fairly approachable and one can ask anything from anyone. Some of the faculties that i like are M. k. Jain sir, Arun sir, Avanish Jayank sir. and these faculties are even best one. *Jain sir is always keen to teach us. Having sufficient industrial knowledge, so he always guide us for our career. And even show some unexplored and other options of career. He made me fall in love to his subjects like IC. , Signal processing. *Arun sir, Laboratory incharge, is so humble that he is always ready to help and guide as per his arena. He is even a talented faculty, that sometimes i feel he knows more than subject teacher. Though there is no any faculty that i dislike, but want to say that all other faculty other than above are just okay, not up to mark. Exams per semester are nearly 5-6. one can easily pass all of them just by attending classes regularly and small practice. Course curriculum is relevent
Other Applied Colleges
Institute of Engineering and Technology - [IET] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
