Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose an MBBS course because,,it is Impactful work helping others,, Stable, global career opportunities,, Lifelong learning and personal fulfillment,,Financial rewards.. Improve the MBBS curriculum by: Increasing clinical exposure,,Updating content,,Adding interdisciplinary courses,,Enhancing soft skills,,Expanding research,,Offering electives,,Strengthening mental health support There are multiple tests,,and their difficultly level varies with subjects and topics.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

You will do you internship after clearing your final year exams. You will do it in your own college and hospital. You will earn more than 25k during that time. This is the highest one in west bengal. You have to visit emergency , female and male word during That time. After complete this,, you can go for further studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

In our COMJNMH,, during admission,,we had paid 8500/- which included semester fees for that 1st year course..I am from General category so I can tell only my category . I got hostel . Our annual Hostel fees is 1200/- . Other charges included books,,instruments are varies from students to students...some buys tabs,,ipad also..in First year..we have annual college fest to which we paid 3000/-..during BLS program,,we paid 1600/-.. during university registration we had to pay 1800/- for exams and 1500/- for registration.. Scholarships are varies.I have got the SVMCM scholarship ,, minority students got OASIS .There is not such specific changes in fees due to categories, and its totally a government college,so no room for Management quota.

Campus Life

4

Every year the annual fest of our college held in the month of September in our college auditorium..there are also other cultural activities organized by the students throughout the year. Our library has immense availability of journals and books related to medical field The facilities and technological availability is one of the big factors students choose this college Every year there are various sports tournaments occurs like cricket,,football,,badminton etc in our college and hostel campus. Students Union is the group helps us in every aspect

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are total 2 beds,,2 almirah,,2 tables and one fan...so in one room...2 person can shift.. Common bathroom for all with all the western facilities like shower,,basin etc. One floor for one batch.. Canteen is really good,,the foods are tasty,,affordable in price and varieties of food cooked there. There you can have veg,,fish,,chicken,, eggs and in breakfast luchi, poha,, in evening you can get snacks also. You can register for the hostel during your admission,,you will be given a hostel form which you have to fill up.

Admission

The Other Medical colleges i could get are NBMC,,BSMC,,MMC and many more... But i choose this college over those..because This college is relatively more old,, good infrastructure,,academically excellent,, good surroundings,, good transportation...hostel structures are well developed. As per my entrance exam result...i got rejected from some top medical colleges of west bengal like MCK,,RGKAR ,, SSKM etc . After clearing the NEET Entrance examination,,clearing the cut off,, I took the admission in my college

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio in our medical college is around 1:15. This ensures us to get enough attention and quality education. In our first year,, Anatomy and Biochemistry faculties are liked by me because they are Supportive,,approachable,,experienced and student friendly. I have had a bitter sweet experience with Physiology department as in my opinion...they can be more student friendly,,the teaching can be more interesting and effective.. They can be less strict.. There are Part tests,,class tests,,trimesters and university exam in first year. Some students due to various reasons,,fails to clear the final exam.. The course curriculum is much relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
