Campus Life of HNBGU

I choose the university as i it was near to my house .also i was not known to the curriculum of the university before admission. According to me university does not prepare you for real world applications or further academic pursuits in any way .Faculty just do there job .No one really care if you are studying or not . There is need of lots of Improvments in teaching methods and curiculum .valvue of education and quality of education should be improved .there should be proper classes and proper study of syllabus slong with practicals .Question paper are not that difficult but timing of exams is not good at all .semester is of 6 months which is completed in 3 to 4 months along with exams without proper study and classes. Overall if you have to pass the exam you have to study on your own you have to figure out syllabus and everything on your own .This is reason that students just rote learning things rather than actually understanding them .

Hi , i am a student of hemvati nandan bahuguna garhwal university .i am pursuing bachelor of science in mathematics . Talking about fee structure registration fees ,enrollment fees ,identity card fees ,lab fees ,caution and development fees are all paid one time at the time of admission .Fees for Bsc (mathematics) is 750 per semester that we pay at the time of registration . Also the fees of other batchmates for other categories than mine is also affordable starting at 750 per semester to 15000 per semester .Talking about scholarships ,college does not provide that good scholarships .Merit Scholarship for BPL students is the one provided for bpl card holder where only 10 students are selected .other than that merit scholarship for B.Ed students ,shri kalyaneshwari temple scholarship and few more .Overall fees is quite affordable which is same over the years .

There is no campus life , no extra curriculur activities .Although there are few annual festival which are not that big they are big event just for participants .library does not provide eacn and every book needed also the books provided are not according to latest edition .classroom are pretty basic as they does not have any advance technological provisionns .no social groups ,clubs ,student portals,there is nothing to improvise learning and social interactions .

I come for a rural background so there wasnot proper councilling .i was not known to lots of universities .but i have applied for this university because if was quite near to my home town. Admission process of the college is easy any student who have passed 12 with good percentage along with good percentile in cuet exam can apply for the university .The selection is on the merit basis where cutoffs are not so high .If you have secured above 70 percentage you have a good possibilty to be selected for course.

Talking about faculty to student ratio there are one or 2 professors who takes classes for 100 to 150 students .I have seen mostly same teacher teaching regularly or even in every sem .Also classes are not on regular basis so in most of the cases faculty to student relationship is not so good .Exam here are not that difficult .But i am suspicious about checking methods here . Lot of students fail the exam due to their carelessness but most of the students pass easily .
