A get together with my college

My course is BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The Course structure of CSE here comprises of 80% software and 20% hardware. Our Institution is following the NEP Policy through which we have to study regarding our course from first year itself which is very good. In other Institutes you will have to study the combined of all branches in first year which is of no use. Although the course is good but there are some areas which needs improvement, like the curriculum is not upto the marks as it is required for industrial markets. There the surprise tests in class and Midsem and Endsem exams which happen at a interval of 2 months.

The intership opportunities are very good in MNNIT. You can get Internship from the 3rd year itself. Many top compinies come for intership offers like Sprinklr, Adobe, Oracle, DE Shaw, etc. which gives an average stipend of 50000.

Placements of MNNIT are Insane, Fabulous. The students are eligible for placements from 5th semester itself. Many big IT companies come for placements like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, Oracle, etc. Total companies visited was around 500. The total offers made was around 1000. The highest package this year was 71 LPA and average was 17 LPA, For CSE the average package was 25 LPA. Since this year had very high recession it had placed 76% students. In the previous years it has constantly placed students above 95%. My plans after getting the degree is to work in Amazon.

As I am general category (BTech) student here at MNNIT, So I can tell you about the same only. I am paying 123500 per semester including everything. So the breakeven is listed down.(Tution fees is 62500) (Caution fees is 5000) (Institute fees is 10000) (Hostel fees is 12000) (Mess fees is 25000) (User charges is 9000). So my total fees per year is around 247000 .Here Financial Aid is also present for the students. Like if your family income is: 1) Below 1 Lakh : Full tution fees remmision 2)Between 1 to 5 Lakh : 2/3 Tution fees remmision. Some of my batchmates are availing this aid so you can also avail it.

The campus life here at MNNIT is decent, not very good. But here so many committees, clubs and fest are present in which you can participate and make you campus life enjoyable. The name of our Technical fest is 'Avishkar' and Cultural fest is 'CULRAV'. These fest are organized in the month of November or January. MNNIT consist of a Central Library which contains over 1 lakh books of wide variety. You can take books from there for two weeks. Our classes have projectors which is used by the professors to teach. Our campus consists of a footbal ground, Cricket ground, Basketball court,Table tennis, Badminton court,and many more. Our college has a SMP committee which helps students in their personal as well as in education. We also have a Steering committee which looks forward to NO RAGGING in the campus. We have different clubs like Robotics,Coding,etc which are very helpful.

Hostel Facility is very good. We have elevators inside the hostels.There are two mess inside it.The mess meal is very delicious and it has exceeded my expectation. We get snacks in the evening. The Registration process is very easy, It is done along with the registrations in the college when you come for physical reporting. The hostels are very affordable with a price of 12000 per semester.

I chose MNNIT over other college because it is one of the pretigious institutes in the country with securing the position in top 5 nits. It has a great alumni network all over the world. MNNIT is the first nit which opened the CSE branch, and I was interested in studying CSE. I got this college through JEE Mains Exam and the the counselling body is JOSAA and CSAB which allocates college to the student as per their rank in JEE. I had applied for CSE to NIT Trichy, NIT Suarthkal, NIT Warangal and in all these Institute I could not get there by a margin for 55 rank. The best which I was getting after all these were MNNIT CSE so I took it. The eligibility criterion for MNNIT is 75% in 12th Boards or you should be in the top 20 percentile of your board. It admits the student on the basis of their JEE Mains rank. Cutoff for CSE in MNNIT this year (2024) was 4192 for general category and other state student.

Faculty to Student ratio is around 1:40. Ralation between faculty and students are very friendly.They are easily approachable. The faculty which I liked the most is Prashantha sir, who teaches us discrete mathematics. He makes us understand the concept, and clears the doubt. I didn't liked the physics faculty who name is Sandeep sir. He is ok for the students who have studied the topics earlier, and he does not maintain the flow. We have to give 2 exams per semester, Midsem and Endsem. 15 to 20 percent students fails to clear the exams.
