Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have taken is BA history Hons. The reason for this decision is to prepare for NET. The curriculum is very broad that it has provided new knowledge and preparations. The teachings should focus more on the subjects and not to go too much beyond it. The timing of examination is usually morning , and the difficulty level is 5 out of 10
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees for St Edmunds college, Shillong depends on the course. If youre studying BA , it will be 30000 yearly and for BSC , it will be 40000 to 50000. For BCA and commerce , it will be 30000 to 40000 approx. Admission fees and registration fees are 10000. And you have to pay an extra 200 for choosing a particular subject and electives. The scholar's provided for students are 15000 to 20000 depending on the student's states of application
Campus Life
Many types of events are held in the college such as college week, independence day , teachers day , freshers meet and so on. The library has all kinds of book for all subjects. Thé facility in the college provides everything including a black board, bench, chairs , projectors and so on. All types of sports such as badminton, basketball, cricket are there. Many clubs are present. Some of them are poetry club , fashion club and so on.
Hostel Facilities
There are black boards, chairs , bench , projectors in the classroom. The classroom are large in size. The meal in the campus is quite delicious and is affordable for all students. Admission
I applied to st Anthony's college in shillong. However, i got admission in st Edmunds college, shillong. This is because of their college outstanding performance in all aspects. I got rejected from st Anthony's college. The reason is due to late admission in the college . The admission process is usually done online in its site. An amount of 1000 had to be paid
Faculty
In St Edmunds college, the faculties are very well educated and has a broad sense of learning and discipline.I like the history department professors , particularly Sir Ricky. This is because of their outstanding capabilities on the subject . I dislike the sociology facilities as no proper lectures are given. There are 2 exams on each semester, one is internal and the other end semester examination.3 to 8 students has failed each semester. The course curriculum is very relevant in areas of competitive examinations .
