My Bachelor's experience at Amity University Kolkata

The course curriculum has helped me to further advance my expertise in English during my Master's of Arts in English. I got chance in my dream college. The way the course was handled helped me develop communication skills, organising skills, and build up my confidence levels. I am very happy that I didn't require any extra tuition help to understand my course as the faculty was always present and always attentive. I was prepared in such a nice individual manner as all the other batchmates that it helped me excel my knowledge in my further higher education. Each semester has a 4-month gap but each paper in prepared to get you good marks in the end. It is hard to fail at all after the preparation. Internals are taken along the course span and separate dates for exams. Amizone depicts the attendance levels, classes attended and missed. Marks are also declared there.

Students are offered placements in the final year of their course mainly. There are internships that can be taken through the course years. However, our batch wasn't given any internship/placement opportunity. After getting the degreez I pursued my master's in english from Shri Shikshayatan college in Kolkata under the University of Calcutta

The fee structure changes with the increase in year. First you have to submit a security deposit of 20,000/- which is reimbursed to you after the completion of the course or in the case of withdrawal. And the first month's fees that was 43000. The fees then sums upto 57000 per semester by the time you reach the final semester. the breakup of the fees is given during the payment process. You will also get a discount if you are a merit student in class 12th board exam. Admission test is taken for students below 80% marks along with a personal interview by the faculty.

There is a festival for the following: Orientation in August Freshers in August Sangathan in September Agomoni durga pujo depending upon Durga puja time of that year. Cake mixing event in December Amiphoria college fest in March/April Farewell in May Convocation depends upon the college An entire building is designated to have been made as a library equipped with computers. Fully Aur conditioned, 3 floors. Here you will find books of almost all subjects ranging from different era of time. You have proper seating area to focus on your work, reading. Proper light Projector Smart class system Sound system all well equipped almost. College has a competition every year with the various other branches of amity where they compete against each tjehr in sports and dance. Clubs- various choices in clubs with faculty supervision. Amizone is the student portal.

I chose to stay in Amity University Kolkata because their merit list showed my name before the merit lists of some of the colleges above mentioned that didn't reject me. I wanted to develop my professionalism skills in Amity which is well-known for. I got rejected from some colleges because of the competition present regarding marks. Admission process- fill out the form from their website, you will be helped every step of the way during the admission procedure by a communication agent, I had Ipshita ma'am who was very helpful. Eligibility -60% from a known Board If you score above 80%, you don't have to give an admission test. Those who have to go through the test, are given a questionnaire to answer and then taken for PI.

The faculty was extremely nice. Professors would look into detail to teach you and provide several reference materials in order to benefit your learning experience. The faculty is approachable, friendly and personally helped me in building my confidence levels. They would not shy away from any doubt you have as well. Sometimes even make you write university answers. For me, whoever has been my faculty has been huge help. You will have your semester marks divided in- external paper, internal test, sometimes projects, and 5 marks of attendance, in total of 100 marks. If you answer diligently, you will get good marks. Presentations also take place. Foreign language test is external written, internal written, attendance and an oral exam. Foreign language subject is a course for every department and you will receive on the course completion. Teachers are extremely patient. I had a Personal interview during admission with 2 members of extremely friendly faculty. Questions- describing myself My hobbies, books I love to read, why did I choose English as a subject to pursue my college education, how i came to amity and how i would return home. I was very nervous during my interview but the faculty reassured me that there's nothing to worry about. Admission test for people below 80% marks in the form of MCQ and then PI on the same day followed by lunch in the campus. To prepare I did an overall revision of what English is and all the basic question in regards to myself.
