- Water becomes a really big issue in the months of summer implying to availability for selected hours.
- Internet is actually a problem inside the hostels.
- The lack of placement drives in campus is something to really improve on.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is designed keeping in mind the National Education policy and competitive exams like UGC-NET etc. The course of Environmental Science is multi domain and it teaches you how different domain links and impact the environment. The lab curriculum for bachelors could be improved
Fees and Financial Aid
A registration fee to begin the counselling is Rs.1200 after that amount of 10000 was submitted at the time when I took admission that is in the year 2020 which included my academic fee , being a UR student hostel fees of approximately 7000-8000 is charged half yearly while students of sc/st don't have to pay the hostel fees mess advance of Rs.15000 is also submitted, academic fee may range from 15000-20000 yearly. University offers Dace scholarship to certain candidates and if you have any other scholarship going on that can also be valid here.
Campus Life
The campus life in Central University of Rajasthan is not like the one shown in movies.The university does offers a lot of sports clubs and other club opportunity . The presence of different sports ground help in practices etc but the lack of coach can't be ignored . The Library is well equipped with books and online journals whereas reading room is something to be looked upon still, there are different festivals being celebrated in the campus and different events being organised on certain days but no as such a fest is there yet
Hostel Facilities
The hostels rooms are simple providing a bed ( availability of mattress depends on your time of arrival), fans, tubelight, cupboard or almirah again the availability of which depends on the number of people already in room, table, chair . The food served is not of a great quality, edibility is a question certain times. The non availability of PG makes it compulsive for students to live in hostels mostly
Admission
The availability of the Integrated Msc. Environmental Science was the foremost reason of chosing Central University of Rajasthan. The other colleges I applied for had a location which my parents couldn't agree to , so location in comparison to others I applied for, moreover this was the best I could get and my family agreed on bassed on my cuet score
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio in bachelors in certain courses is a bit fair a single professor dealing with a class of more than 70-80 students, it becomes fairer as the courses get specialised in masters reducing to a size of 30-35 students being mentored by the professors.The faculty is mostly very approachable and understanding examples of them being Dr.D.Bhagwan , Department of Environmental Sciences and Dr.Garima Kaushik, Department of Environmental Sciences helping students in an all round approach. The exam structure folds as two continuous internal assessments being conducted of 20 marks each and an end of semester examination of 60 marks.
