Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have taken up this Course because I'm also a CA Aspirant and this course is all what we have in CA also. Thus curriculum prepares you for the real world very well and it also teaches you discipline because accounting and management is all about keeping discipline. I can't dig up much but for improvement in the Course curriculum and teaching methods being a fresher it won't be fair enough. The exams interval is of 4 to 5months and the exams being difficult is not a bad thing. If the student studies even giving his 30% he can pass the exams

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship to me was offered from Wipro for marketing post for about 3months and a stipend of 15 thousand per month. Projects was to engage with clients and do marketing about the company and current situation of the companies speciallity like how is it working and going on. Have a nice day everyone.

Placement Experience

3.5

College gives placement to the students and company comes with offers of jobs. Students are available for placement after passing 6th semester. Wipro smd many other companies have came in with job offers. Highest package is of 400000 and average of of 200000. The highest package was fir the marketing and research development profile. 25 to 40% of the students get placements. I am preparing for CA so I'll go for that after degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is quite good. It's not much high considering and comparing other private colleges. I have paid 43900 which includes 35000 of semester 1 fees and 8900 of admission fees. I have not availed any caste benefits as I am from General Caste. This college do reduces fee for lower castes. They also have gujrati quota for gujrati people in which they take admission with very low fees. I have to pay nearly 75000 every year for 4 years. This college doesn't provide scholarship or any financial aid.

Campus Life

4.5

College have annual and technical fests usually and also bhawanipur calls up bollywood stars, motivational speaker to motivate their students. Umang fest which is typically a concert is held during December and January which is fully organised by students and the college pays for it. Top singers are invited in it. Clubs try to make students get involved who likes sports, drama, fashion etc. College sends people for West Bengal Fashion Show every year. Clubs are owned and supervised by teachers but mostpy the students work in it and helps other students to build up.

Admission

I have applied to other colleges like Sethanand Ram Jaipuriya, JD Birla and Goenka. I had a confirmed admission from JD Birla and Jaipuriya College but I choose this college because of the facilities and fees structure and also the teaching. Japuriya college facilities were not upto dated and JD Birla fees was too high compared to this college. I didn't make up in Goenka College merit list because of the cut off. The cut off was 93% and I got only 87% . Admission process is very easy you just have to fill a form in the official website of the college when the forms are released and then you have to pay 800 for the form. The cutoff differs for every batch and timings of classes. Morning batch cut off was 65% only. College accepts the 12th board exam marks for admission.

Faculty

3.5

As of now I haven't reached up to any faculty because I'm just a fresher but yes, i have heard the placement and events organizing and also the sports faculty are very nice to students and and their relationship with students is also very good. Speaking of the exams the college is under Calcutta University(CU) and it's not so easy to pass they have a strict curriculum and checking of the papers. We have 2 exams in a semester, One is Tutorial which consists of VIVA for 25marks and another is Written for 75marks.

Other Applied Colleges

Seth Anandram Jaipuria College | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.} (Accounting and Finance)

Because this college facilities were not upto dated. Teachers usually don't take classes serious

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
