Course Curriculum Overview
The reason i chose this course is to persue a career in finance and also to carry on my family business. Finance has always been a very highly demanding field of work because of its necessity in corporate or basically any organization.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the BMS course alternatively, BBA course that i have taken in St.Xaviers College (Autonomous), Kolkata, we have to pay the college fees four times per year i.e. in four installments. The fees include tuition fees, computer lab fees, maintanence fees, miscellaneous fees and all other related fees. Comparatively, the BMS course is a little more expensive than the other courses offered by the college as it an honours course and offers specialization. For example, B.Com classes which are conducted in the morning pay half of the fees we pay as it is fifty percent funded by the state government. Talking about provisions for scholarship, the college actually provides a scholarship scheme to students having financial issues and there are few steps in the process of claiming scholarships in the college. For example, a bonafide certificate should be issued and signed by the respective vice principal and the dean of the department.
Campus Life
The campus life is really fun. We have events during off exam days. Since, i am a musician, i involve myself in many band events and music festivals. I'm in a band and we have played our music in the biggest college fest, Xavotsav.
Hostel Facilities
Oh, i really love the hostel. I swear it's the best hostel you can ever dream of (ignoring the food hsha). The people you meet and make friends with is an experience of a lifetime. I have made the best memories and there are more to make.
Admission
St. Xavier's has always been a part of my life as i had studied in St. Xavier's School from class 1 till class 12 and thus i wanted to also complete my bachelor's from St. Xavier's itself. So basically it was my love for the name of Xavier's.
Faculty
Talking about the faculty, i would give a good feedback because the professors are excellent both in terms of their knowledge, teaching skills and interaction with students. I personally like Sukanya Sarkhel maam the most who teaches us Economics and quants. Excellent professor and a motherly figure.
