Course Curriculum Overview
The course B.com which I opted was very good for a person who likes accounts and want to know more about the same. We get to learn a lot of valuable information which is pretty helpful in real life world as it helps us in our jobs as well because accounts these days are very important in every company and business.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee annually was 50,000. And a person could've had gotten a scholarship in if class 12 results he/she secured above 90% which was calculated after considering 5 subjects total. The security deposit was 5000.
Campus Life
The annual festival was "Umang" it was a huge fest, many colleges of Kolkata used to participate without fail. It used to be a 3 days fest. There are many other fest like theatre festival, urja, etc which were held. We had access to all the books in library anf were allowed to take 3 books at a time to our home which we could return later. There were many sports and extracurricular activities which were held which were very great and there were many clubs as well which used to work really nicely.
Admission
I applied for Xaviers college but the cutoff was high and I couldn't get through. I got confirmed admission from shikshayatan college and jd Birla college. I opted for Bhawanipur as I wanted to pursue company secretary course as well and the attendance criteria doesn't exist in Bhawanipur so it was a win win scenario. Also, the faculty of Bhawanipur is really good and it's a great college where you can learn a lot and equally can enjoy a lot because the crowd is amazing and the fest held are amazing as well. The admission criteria is only the 12th result which has to be above 75-80% to get in.
Faculty
The faculty was really good and helpful. Internals were taken which I don't think were ever checked. The final semester exams were properly conducted and checked with accuracy. The proportion of faculties were pretty good as compared to students. There used to be 2-3 internal exams of 20 marks each then the final semester exam of 80 marks.
