"Inside LNMIIT" : A Comprehensive College Review

In my branch teachers here are friendly and supportive compared to other branches. the course curriculum is not well designed there are many irrelevant course that are taught to us. and the many relevant courses are not taught here. and the administration is very poor skilled here that they cannot schedule the classes of the entire batch because of not having enough faculties. I have taken a course from humanities department as an elective and one day the faculty quits from here and the course classes are off till further notice. So yeah the administration requires improvement and more skillful workforce. the frequency and timing of exams are maybe sometimes not very good that there can be 2 exams on the same day and the administration refuses to reschedule one exam.

There are very less internship opportunities offered in our institute and mostly 4 to 5 companies on campus for internship, hardly 10 to 15 students offered internship on campus. So nothing to tell about this honestly but one can apply offcampus through Linkedin or various other platforms and the companies which come on campus, the stipend depends on the company. companies like deloitte , media.net, trilogy, adobe, BNY Melon comes for on campus internship with varying stipend like deloitte offers a stipend of 30k per month and all the other companies I mentioned offers a stipend close 1 laks per month.

Placements here are good enough. A large number of registered students placed every year but last year due to recession insitute placements dropped down from around 95 percent to 70 percent, and this thing happened in every college even in IIT's. some students got placed but did not accepted the offer due to low CTC. and the average package was also dropped last year. Highest CTC offered was around 50 lpa and average CTC dropped down to 11 LPA from 15 LPA last to last year. There are various companies came to our college including Media.net, D.E. Shaw, BNY MELON, AMAZON, FLIPKART, EAGLEVIEW, ION GROUP, TEKION CORP, SCHLUMBERGER, HONDA CARS, DELOITTE, IBM and many more, number of offers made for 2024 batch was 330 as per the placement cell data. and from 7th semester students are eligible for the campus placements. My only plan is to get a decent placement in a tech company and no further study plans I have.

Ok when I took admission in LNMIIT , The tution fees was aroud 1,77,000 per semester excluding hostel and mess and other fees, the mess fees was around 16000 per semester and hostel fees was 21000 per semester, The total fees to be paid per semester was around 2,13,000 per semester and it is of first year and now 10 percent hike in the fees every year is there, cautipon money is 10,000 /- (refundable no interest will be paid). registration fee is 3000 /-, internet charges is 750/-, student activity charges is 1500/-, Total fees was 2,13,000. And currently I am in my final year my total fees is around 2,71,000 per semester. All the students have same fees of my batch, junior batches obviously have paid more fees than ours due to 10 percent hike every year. And now talking about MERIT Scholarship For first semester (top 20 rankers upto 5000 rank(Gen) in jee advanced, scholarship amount is 35000/-) Next 20 rankers upto 7500 rank(Gen), amount is 30,000/- next 20 upto 12000 amount - 25000

Ok so we have 3 annual festivals i.e. Desportivos is the annual sports fest of our college, Plinth is the annual techfest of our college, and Vivacity is the annual cultural fest of our college and they occur in the end of jan and starting of feb and other than these there is E-summit from entrepreneurship cell also in between these fests and all the fests are of 3 days each with various events. our library consists of various books and journals including our faculties journals also published there. And In the whole college, The central library is the one which is more advanced and technical than any other thing in the insitute. All the classrooms have projectors and have ducting facility. There are many sports activities like badminton, basketball cricket etc: all the things have seperate court. There is sankalp club also in which students go to village and teach village students. also there is mess workers education program run by the students to educate the mess workers.

So in the room there is one chair table one bed and one almirah for each student. till the 3rd year we have to live in a double sharing room in which we can choose our roommate and also from 2nd year we can choose a whole wing aloing with our friends and from final year single room is allocated to the students. There is a day schooling facility also in our college but this is not beneficial as our institute is far away from the jaipur city and it took almost 1 hour to reach the city so its convenient to stay in the hostel. Mess food here is comparatively good as compared to other colleges. The hostel and mess fees is taken with the tution fee and at the time of deposit we have to pay the whole fees including hostel mess everything. The mess menu changes almost 4 times a year with breakfast lunch snacks and dinner over there in which breakfast is most underrated meal you can take, they serve fruits also.

I wanted to go to shiv nadar university first but the admissions were closed when I looked into their site and then I have applied to jaypee noida sector 62 and there I got computer science and engineering branch and I also wanted to go to LNMIIT but the admissions were closed, and one day I got a mail in which there is special round and I applied to it and got admitted and withdrawn my admission from jaypee noida, and ofcourse I have previously taught that Lnmiit has better placements better campus rather than jaypee noida. I have applied to JOSAA counselling and got NIT Srinagar and northeastern NIT's but I didn't wanted to go there. so I took admission here in LNMIIT as it is close to my home and ofcourse for placements also. Talking about eligibility, so you have to clear jee mains with a good percentile and jee advanced with a good rank is eligible for scholarship. There are many rounds of admission process. In 2021 i got admission the cutoff for this college was around 50k rank

There are less number of faculties as compared to students like for one type of course let's say Robotics and automation course there are only one main faculty and 1 other faculty who can teach the course and if they are not present then there will be no class. Although faculties encourage us to do some good projects under them and students also take advantages of these opportunities, And one important thing here is that the grades here faculties give to students are not satisfactory compared to other colleges, And there is difficulty in scoring marks and get good grades, Talking about my batch there are 40 students in my branch and I am in the final year and the students with more than 6 CGPA are less than 20 out of 40. and there is a very high chance of a backlog in the entire B. Tech. so its not very easy like other colleges to maintain GPA. In the first semester.
