Pn's Review On RVS College Of Arts And Science - [RVSCAS], Coimbatore

I had a very good experience at the college during my entire course. I don't think there is anything bad to comment about.

Didn't take an entrance. Loved the course and hence took it up. RVS college was on of the most reputed colleges for the course and chose it.

Course curriculum was good. Interesting practicals made the course more interesting.This is an off beat course, so comes with its own pros and cons, but the entire course was interesting.

College provided internship at all semester breaks for us students to learn and earn. Stipend was competitive, but regular stipend helped us in managing our finances very well.

ITC and Oberoi hotel group came for the placements and few of us were selected. I was selected by welcome group and was placed at Hyderabad.

There were lot of cultural events like what happens in every college. But in my college every year a grand food festival was organised. These festivals helped us in practical use.

That point of time, the fees were of medium range when compared with other colleges in Coimbatore. Moreover the fee werent needed to paid up front fully. We had some installment options as well.

I dont remember of any such thing at that point of time. But I am sure there might be some available now days. The coaching facility was great.

The colleges promotes and urges students to pursue extracurricular activites. There were regular sports meets held and performers were awarded continously.

I was a day scholar. I Didn't use the hostel facility at all. But what I heard from my classmates were that the hostel had very strict rules to maintain discipline. The mess food was great and I had the food quite a lot of times.

I've been part of the alumini network and we have meetings organised in the campus every year. We also have casual interaction with students to discuss courses and careers.

The course itself is dominated by practicals. We had practicals almost every day. I wouldn't say it was hectic, but hotel management courses are meant to be that way.

The faculties of the college were well experienced with great practical knowledge, Thats itself helped them in training students. Faculties were a bit strict, but very good in what they did.
