Amazing college with top notch infrastructure

Engineering Physics provides a flexible curriculum with courses from Theoretical and Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. The branch is open for placements of most of the companies and is good option for higher studies and research as well.

The internship season starts in 5th sem. There are two kinds of internships available : Summer Internhship that falls in the summer between 6th and 7th sem while Semester Internship in 6th sem. 6 credits are granted by the institute for leaving the sem for internhsip while remaining credits can be done in any other sem. Mamy companies offering median stipend of 1 Lakh per month visit the campus. The highest was offered by Optiver in Amsterdam for a whooping 30 Lakh per month. Most of them provide a Pre Placement Offer (PPO).

Many of the top companies visit IITH. Summer Insternship is available between 6th and 7th semester while Semester Internship is available for 6th semester. Most of the companies provide Pre Placement Offer after Internship. Placements are available for students in final year. The best part about IITH is that becuase of it's relations with Japanese government, many of the Japanese companies like Mercari, NTT, Willings come to campus as well for plavement in Japan.

There are many Sci-Tech clubs and Cultural clubs that organize events to keep the sthdent community engaged. The inter hostel championship Milan is held every year (similar to the GC you saw in Chhichhore movie). The annual techno cultural fest Elan and nVision is held every year with many events and guests, bands, DJ etc.

The hostel facilities are top notch. You are given a double sharing room in first year and then a single room for consecutive years. You are provided with a bed, table and a chair. Other facilities provided are : recreational room, hot water geyser, washing machine etc. The mess food is okayish. If you're North Indian then you'll have limited choices as the menu is more inclined towards South Indian dishes.

I chose IIT Hyderabad as it is the best 2nd gen IIT in terms of infrastructure, NIRF ranking and placements. It is even better than IIT Roorkee or Guwahati in terms of infra and equal in placements. The cutoff for the college goes around 9-10k in JEE Advanced for GEN category.

A healthy student teacher ratio is there. The curriculum is very much flexible with access to free electives and minors/double majors. The examination authority rests with the course intructor hence he/she may take surprise quizzes, assignments, exams, presentations, viva etc. Thus, there's no fixed examination pattern like other institutes.
