All About VIT Vellore ( A PLACE TO LEARN , A PLACE TO GROW)

The curriculum is designed in such a way that the students can study both root learning of the subject and the modern world technology and applications of that particular subject. Exams and Quizes are taken freaquently for assessing the students and finding out their weak points.

Summer internship oppurtunities are provided to students and also foreign university exchange programme is available for students so thay they can study from both their own college and from some other foreign college also. Companies like MotorQ, delloite, Godrej , HCL and many more come for placements. Incubator cell is also provided to students who have keen interest in enrepreneurship.

Placements are quite good and regular in the college. Students are allowed to do internships from the second year itself and are allowed to sit for placements from 5th and 6th semester itself. This year 2 students from our college got above 1 CR Pre Placement Offer (PPO) from CSE . Percwntage of students getting placed are 75-80%. My plans after getting a UG degree would be to get enrolled for a PG course for better knowledge and oppurtunities in life.

The per year fee structure for B.Tech programme starts from 190000/- for category 1 students, 290000/- fir category 2 students,390000/- for category 3 students , 490000 for category 4 students and lastly 590000/- for category 5 students .I am a category 3 student so my yearly fees is going to be 390000/- . Resgistration fee is 15,000 and caution fee is also 15,000(refundable). I have many batchmates paying 1,90,000 per year and many paying 5,90,000 also as they are category 1 and category 5 students respectively. As per my knowlegde our college gives scholarships to students who came under rank 200 in the entrance exam and also provides to the branch toppers.

There are so many clubs available for students for their overall developments apart from academics . There is no limits for students to choose their clubs and explore their co-curricular interests. Apart from clubs their are various of cultural programs organised for students to get to know their cultures and stay connected to them. Talking about Yearly fests, there are 2 major events taking place . One is technical fest call Gravitas where students can learns numerous of things like robot, drone, car making , trading and stock marketing astronomical activies ans so on .The other event is Rivera which is the bigger version the the previous one.

The hostel is facilitated with all safety equipments like fire alarms, fire water sprayers and fire extinguishers at every floor . Talking about the rooms , theyare facilitated with good sized beds, wardrobes,personal wooden shelfs, wall shelfs , study table and chairs with study lamps, air conditioners , fans, lights and all necessary electric sockets . Every hostel block has their own mess providing all types of melas like veg , non-veg and special menus. Students can change to a different mess if they are no comfortable with their own block mess.

I applied for several colleges like Lovely Professinal University and SRM university but I chose VIT Vellore over these because of the structured fee system and all round development environment provided to the students.The above mentioned colleges have a very high fee structure and had cases of ragging as well.

Per subject professor take care of 70 students in a theory class and for lab classes we are provided with 2 faculty membder for better understanding and explainations for students. Courses like Qualitative Skills are provided to students to make them interview ready by teaching them resume making , aptitiude , problem solving and so on. Per semester contains 2 Continuous assessment tests(50 marks) and and 1 Final assessment test(100 marks).The level of examination is quite nice.
