Likes
- The library is one of the things that is really good, there are tons of good books there to read including academics as well.
- The auditorium is also amazing in Jagran college. Fully air conditioned with a capacity of 250-300
- There are also bit of sports activities that are being organised here, such as bastekball tournament, cricket tournament and volleyball etc.
Dislikes
- There are very less events and extra curricular activities that are organised. Like since I took admission it's been 2 months and sol far no even has been organised and teacher has said that next event is going to be on navratri only.
- We didn't had any freshers party also. Although the senior be organising one but as unofficial
- There is only one canteen with very limited seats and it's mostly filled with crowd
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good though you can check all the subjects from the brochure of the college that you can download from the website of Jagran College of Arts, Science and commerce. In the first semester you'll see subjects like business communication, business organisation, statistics and microeconomics etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of Jagran college of Arts, science and commerce for the B com course is 15000/- and you need to pay extra 300 for the admission form to the admin office, with an additional 300 you have to pay online to get WRN form from smarth portal when you register yourself in (kanpur University site)
Campus Life
If you are looking for a campus life then I recommend you to not come here. There are plenty of colleges that you can get into for a college life like CSJMU (Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University). It has a huge campus with multiple events being organised. I recommend you to take admission there for a campus life as in Jagran the campus is not so big.
Admission
The admission processing of Jagran college is really simple. You just need to come to the office and there you need to purchase a form and then they will guide you with the whole admission process. And if you want to be efficient with the process. Just come with the WRN form. You can get it by registering to the website of Kanpur University. And the reason I choose this college was that it's fee structure is really affordable. Since I belong to a middle class family I wasn't able to pay a hefty fee of 1-2 lacs.
Faculty
The faculty of Jagran college are really knowledgeable and balanced faculty to student ratio which make teacher really approachable. Although one or two teacher might not be that great, you'll feel really bored and frustrated. Like there's a class we have to attend on first sem of business communication and it's really boring.
