Honest review about Mithibai

Simply one of the best college in Mumbai and I would recommend that every student must try to get admission in this college as it would help them learn a lot not only on the academic basis but socially and culturally as well.

Merit List

Genuinely speaking it is a very good course and the syllabus provided is getting better every year also they consider the level of improvement in students and accordingly they are working to improve the level of education and providing new course every year.

Personally speaking, I didn't apply for an internship and as per my knowledge they do not provide any internship to students of art faculty there are only placement cells that will help you get some internship with a basic stipend of 5-7 thousand per month.

This is a very important aspect of getting your admission as placement is the most important for a graduate but I am disappointed to tell you that there is no proper guidance provided to students of arts for placement as they are not considered as important as commerce and science student.

Mithibai is very well known for its cultural activity which is organized by the student's cultural committee, Kshitij is considered as one of the best college fests in Mumbai with a huge crowd gathering to attend the event and celebrities from different field join us to make the event happen, also there are many small events.

There are two types of course provided in the college aided and un-aided one is the course where government scholarship is given and the other one is private course and is expensive, basic course such as BA, BCom, BSC are all aided with Maximum fees going up to 2700rs per year and course such as BMM, BFM, BMS, etc were expensive.

The scholarship I availed was of reservation and freeship which helped me with the fees as the fees for me was very less and that too was also returned to me at the end of the course and also the staff is very helpful and friendly as they kept on helping me for the entire course and helped me with all the documents.

The college has an annual sports day in December and indoor games competition is held almost every month such as table tennis, carrom, chess, etc. There is 2 fully air-conditioned library in college and laboratory with all the necessary equipment.

I did not take the hostel facility but all I know is that the hostel facility is only for boys yet I am not sure, But infrastructure wise I would rate it 8.5 out of 10 as the college comes under SVKM trust which as always provided one of the best facility to their students.

Mithibai alumni are very well known as many of them have been a part of the Bollywood film industry Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and many more but academically speaking there are many groups and forums on Facebook and WhatsApp that are always helping the students also the college has enrolled for the Blackboard application.

There is semester pattern just like the university format and 6 semesters are held in 3 years along with internal exams held every 3 months so practically one must appear for 2 internal and 2 external examinations.

My admission process was very simple as I am a Gujarati and everyone knows that Mithibai has a Gujarati quota and hence I got the admission in arts faculty just what I wanted, despite having scored only 74% in 10th I got the admission as the cut off in that year was very low compared to what today it is.

The faculty is what I would call a mixed bag you never know what you get some of the teachers in junior college are exceptionally good but some are very rude and careless, while degree college faculty has been great throughout the time, I spent 5 years in college and I can say it was a very good experience with the teaching staff.
