Likes
- The college is located in Ahmedabad. So it provides you exposure to outside world if you have been living in Village area your whole life. Also you can get job right in Ahmedabad so you get enough time to get used to the city.
- The college provide campus placement with average package for computer science of 5-6 lpa
Dislikes
- The quality of education is bad. They don't care how you complete your lab manual s and assignments.
- The washrooms are not cleaned properly,and water supply is not good
- No research is done in college. Faculty has only theoretical knowledge
Course Curriculum Overview
The motive for joining this course was the handsome salary you get in the fields related to computer science.there are courses that are helpful in the real world like operating system,oops, software engineering,dsa,etc. So overall it is relevant and necessary for real world applications but it is not enough,you need to learn outside of curriculum to get into the subfield you are interested in.In a semester you have a mid semester exam of 30 marks, then you have viva/ submission of 50 marks and end sem exam of 70 marks.
Placement Experience
After 3 year the campus placement starts,the companies offer package from 2.5 lpa to 10lpa .the companies that visit to our college are tcs , einfochips, tatvasoft ,and many others, nearly 100% placement takes palce.I am planing to do masters in us and make a career in data science/ machine learning
Fees and Financial Aid
This is government engineering college, so the fees is very less. Throughout semester you have to pay two fees. One is semester fees of stock 1800 and exam fees of 300. Girls don't have to pay. Of you are living in hostel then boys have to pay 1500 , again for girls there is no hostel fees. No scholarship is given by college but you can try from outside
Campus Life
Events like freshers party then festivals like navratri, ganesh chaturthi, janmashtami are celebrated in our college. No events like concerts take place.Tech events like hackathon, tech fest take place.the are clubs like gdsc, sports club. Intra college sports event called vishwacup is help every year.
Admission
I didn't prepare for jee. I gave gujcet exam and got decent marks.My acpc rank was 1449. there are many better colleges that you can get with gujcet exam like daiict,nirma, ddu. But my rank wasn't enough.I could get ai/ml at ldce but as it was a new branch i was advised to leave it
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is around 1:25.The faculty are very approachable in my department. Karan bhat is a good faculty as he is practical oriented and talks about ideas.Other faculty like jalpa mam , avni mam, nakul sir are also good.kkr is a faculty that does not teach really well.
