The harsh truth

Actually there's a lot of hype about the clg outside in the state right now but there's actually nothing to be hyped here. The curriculum is shit and is very easy compared to other universities. I wouldn't have picked this clg if I knew it's gonna be like this

Coming to internships , it's quite hard here as there aren't many companies ready to take in interns right now as there's a recession in the country , infact the world right now and there's very little employment chances. You'll have to try for internships on your own and shouldn't have your hopes up of placements or internships for the placement cell

There's a good amount of placements here but they are mostly for ece and cse branches. Core branches rarely get any placements here. And those who get placed only get around 3-4 lpa packages on average with a very little , or one or two people among 1000 with packages reaching 30 lpa

Our university provides a six year integrated btech course ( 2+4) with a fee of 45000 for the first two years and around 50000 for the next four years for tution. And for mess and hostel , it varies every year but on average it's around 30000 for both of them combined. There is a fee reimbursement plan by govt of ap and you'll only have to pay 17-18 thousand per year if you have a ration card and are eligible for fee reimbursement.

Well the campus Life here is pretty decent if you keep the acadamics aside. there lots of time to spend with people and make friends with anyone. Since there are 6 years on total , you get the chance to make friends with 11 year people starting from your first year here. There are projectors in every classroom and have lan facility. There is also a central library with books from all genres . There's around 2 cultural fest every year and one technical fest normally but after COVID , there's only one cultural fest and one technical fest here. They are typically conducted in lat March to mid April.

The hostel is decent here , but the only problem here is that there's no proper sanitation in the common bathrooms , yes there are no attached bathrooms here. But this issue should be cleared in a few months as the govt has recognised this issue and are making plans to correct it. Meals were shit until a few weeks ago and they are quite good right now after an incident of food poision here. Boys hostels have around 208 rooms per floor and there are 4 floors per block with a total of three such blocks . It's the same for girls but they have only 104 rooms but each double the size than those in boys dormitories. Each room are assigned with three students in boys hostel and 6 in girls hostel . Each room has three power outlets and two tubelights , one fan in them along with sufficient beds and mattresses. You'll be given a pillow during your first year.

I chose this university tally because of my families financial background. We had plenty of money before but we're having a hard time recently after the COVID pandemic as we lost our buisness and money after we built a house during the pandemic with peaked prices. For a admission you'll have to write your 10th board really well and apply for admission here. You'll be selected according to your board marks.

There is a scarcity of faculty for some of the departments like cse and ece in core subjects. Coming to exam structure, there are 2 semesters per year and every semester has 3 internal mid exams which are 15 marks each. Among the three mids , best two of three are selected and are added to the final result along with semester marks which are conducted for 60 marks. The remaining 10 marks are for monthly assignments and student conduct . There are plenty of students who fail semester exams every year and they have the chance to rewrite them after a few months as remedial examinations. Still, every year around a 100 students get held back a year after their puc 2nd year
