Remarks

Our College is one of the best NIT's but a bit lagging behind in infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is pretty good and elaborated. You get to learn everything from the course. In first year all the students have same course irrespective of their branches. But from second you students are divided according to their respective branches. Roughly 30 hours of classes are there in the curriculum.

Placement Experience

4.5

Well, placements are one of the best perspectives of our College. Most of the students get their jobs in the final year. And for internship companies come at the start of the third year.

College Events

4

Multiple events take place in our College. Avishkar- It is the annual technical event of our College, related to curriculum. Athletics meet- Annual sports meet which comprises of many events like marathon, tug of war, race, etc. Hack36- It is the 36 hours nonstop hackathon in which many colleges participate. Culrav- It is the annual cultural fest of our College which includes everything from music, dance to EDM.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is divided into two parts- 1. Mess fee- Mess fee includes the food costs for the hostel students in which we get some refund. Mess fee is ?15000 per semester. 2. Academic fee- Academic fees are divided into 3 categories based on the family income- a. Income less than 1 lac- The fees is around ?8000-9000 per semester. b. Income between 1 lac to 5 lac- The fees is around ?40000-45000 per semester. c. Income greater than 5 lacs- The fees is around ?67000-70000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The College provides many opportunities for scholarships based on merit (both JEE result and academic result). They also provide scholarships to students with the low-income profile so a student in need can apply for it from the administrative building.

Campus Life

3

The gender ratio is not good, as expected from an engineering College. But the government has increased the seats for girls to improve gender ratio. Computer science labs are in very good condition, well maintained, cleaned, in well working condition. Our College has many clubs like dramatics, dance, singing so any student who is interested can join the club.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel fees are around ?3000-4000 not including the mess charges. Mess charges are ?15000 from which we get the refund at the end of the year. There are 9 hostels in our campus, 7 for boys and 2 for girls. Hostel for first-year students is separated from other year hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of our College is huge as expected from a college which is opened since 1961. The seniors are supportive and teach the juniors. Seniors are supportive and helpful.

Admission

The admission process is based on the marks of JEE Mains. Your marks have to be pretty high to get admission in this College. Basically you fill the choices according to your interest and College and according to your marks a college is allotted to you .

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of our College are same as any other good College. The professors are knowledgeable and they know their work but some exceptions are there. Some professors teach like the one in best coaching classes. But overall the faculty are good enough for a student to learn.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
