Life at GSV

Here at GSV course structure is formed by experienced faculty which aims for conceptual as well as practical knowledge. We also have management subjects like Design Thinking and Introducing to Multimodal Transportation. In third semester we have a hybrid mode course. Overall i would say the course structure cover varity of subjects and it quite relevant and comprehensive.

During out first year we got internship at different DRM across India. Moreover students went to BLW, Varanasi and Chittranjan Locomotive Works for internship and research purpose. Overall the internship experience was nice as we got technical knowledge and industry level exposure. Getting to know how things done at ground level was more out ot book learning. There was internship committee formed consisting students and faculty members which ensured smooth internship and helpful environment for students

Campus placement is not so good at gsv. Being a nwe and young university, not so many reputed and well known companies visit. But still management is trying its best to ensure high placement records. Companies which visited were Land T, RVNL, and Alstrom

For this fall semester I paid total amount of 1,23,400/- only. In this the tutition fees was 76,000, mess fees was 20,000 and hostel fees was 19,800/- rs. Other fees such as registration fee campus facility charges were added too. There is no category wise fee slab, everyone irrespective of their category they belong pay the same fees. GSV also provides financial aid to students in two diiferent categories.

Overall the experience is good. As we don't have our own campus, it is NAIR Campus but still it is good and full of trees and greenery. Moreover the clubs are getting more and more developed as more students join and financial support. We have singing, dancing, drama, debate and quiz club. The infrastructure for labs and classrooms is not enough but still we can manage and looking for more future developments

There are on campus hostel which provides accommodation to students. But only first year boys are requird to stay at Stanza Living( hostel 15km away from GSV) and buses are arranged by campus for up and down. But girls are accommodated in campus only. The hoatel rooms are quite nice with big rooms and each room having attached washroom. We have ac geyser table chair study lamp and good cleaning facilities.

The admission process at GSV is through jee mains for undergraduate programs. For postgraduate programs you need gate or cat exams along with aptitude test and personal interview. I got MMMUT, Gorakpur during councilling but my parents didn't allow me to go to Gorakhpur because of its not so good reputation. Later i got GSV and Vadodara as a so developed got my ming attracted here.

Here the faculty include two types- permanent and visiting. Permanent faculty is always available while visiting facility comes from reputed institutions and colleges for teaching. Here the marking scheme is divided as 50 marks for end semester exam, 25 marks for mid semester exam and 25 dor internal s.
