Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opt. for BA honours in political Science as I am preparing for Civil Service Examinations so this course is helping me a lot in my journey. My HOD is also guinding me and a lot of other students in our journey. Other faculty members are equally good always ready to help you. I even consulted my HOD for the stratigies I should follow that might help me cracking the civil service exam and He helped me through it, always suggesting ways that might help me in my journey. You can even see your semester exam as Mains paper and practice answer writing, if you are also preparing for UPSC and my cousre syllabus even covers a part of syllabus of prelims and mains both which agains gives me an edge.

Placement Experience

1.5

The Harsh reality is that not even 50% of the students will get placemnents and you might even know this. well there are good placements in few selectes courses like - BA LLB students will get a decent placement of 8-10 LPA Students in German,Russian and Soanish also have good placements around 5-6 LPA. You must have a goal in life, a target that you want to achieve then you can decide the path that you should take, things would easier that way. You must start preparing for your goal from the beginning only, you can go for PSC Exams or Masters Degree or any other.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was in Selected BHU main campus and there fees is very less which is about Rs.2300 only/- in BA honours. But it is quite high in Affliated collge which is about Rs.10800/- for BA only. There are two main campuses and 4 affliated college in BHU Univesity. if you are opting for BA LLB its fee course will 72300/- for one year There is also concept of paid seat where you have to pay Rs.10,000 extra per year as fees but these seats have less cutoff than regular seats but again if you belong to SC/ST category this isn't going to benefit you. There is sports quota for students which can only be applied if have been to district or state level championship in recent three years.

Campus Life

5

There is no Doubt that you will have good social life in the campus as there will tonnes of fests, extracurricular activities, festivals will be held. In your first year there is freshers party that you can enjoy and interact with people around you. There will sports activities time to time like football tournament, Kabbadi competition, cricket tournament and lot of other things. Talking about Infrastruture, though it is quite old but you will surely came to like this place. There is central library in the campus with numerous books will be avilable to you with latest edition. When you enter into the college, you will be given a BHU campus card that is kind of a identity card for you, you can show this card in BHU Hospital and can have free treatment, it also avails you a 10-20% discount in restaurents.

Admission

I wanted to go to Delhi University but its quite far from my Hometown and living expense is also too high. The University which can be an alternative to DU and can stand toe to toe with it is BHU only, it is also a Deemed University. I chose this University as living Expense is not that off-charts and is not very far from my hometown. this University offers you a wide varity of courses with good acadmedics. And the most important thingthat you will get a BHU tag.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are Approachable, yow will have a easy time talking to them and clearing things out. They are very supporting in your endeavour and they will be guiding you for your good future prospects. There are lot of students who approach professors after class for their doubts and for lot of other things. In a year you will have two Semesters and you must ace these exams as it might affect your placement. These exams are not that hard, if you have attended classes properly one week time is enough fo score good marks, but again it might be a different scenario for other student. The ratio of students who fail the exams are very less as you can do pretty well just by attending classes regularly.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Botany)

Living expense was too high

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Biggest reason to choose this subject to I like art related work,so I choose this subject. One advantage of doing this subject is that along with art,you can learn a lot from other social and cultural aspect as well. There is a need to make some improvements in this subject such a a course should be of shorter duration and the syllabus should be made a little shorter. Whatever the exam, the subject should be made a short subject with less duration and should not be of long duration.
