- Library was fantastic with Wifi availability and Sitting arrangement for Readers.
- All Equipments in different Lab were Available including small models of Boilers, Steam engine etc.
Dislikes
- Need more Teachers/Faculties. Only 4-5 faculties in mechanical department.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus was good it included all subjects and topics that a mechanical engineer student nust learn in order to develop their mind as An Engineer. In 4th and 6th semester, an industrial internship/training of 1 month each was compulsory to gain knowledge of actual process, practices and application of Engineering involved on ground level.
Placement Experience
Campus placement was not good for core branches. companies 3-5 LPA package provided. Some of companies: Tech Mahindra Amalgam steel Yukinova battery Lalbaba Engineering group Carbon Resources Tega MCNally
Fees and Financial Aid
1. Fee seat - 22000/- per year. 2. Paid Seat ( direct admission) - 65000/- per year. 3. TFW quota - 12362/- per year. 4. SC/ST of Jharkhand - I don't remember exactly but it was around 10k Caution money (one time only) - 5000/- Hostel fee - 15000/- per year Hostel Caution fee - 5000/- EKalyan scholarship for Candidates of Jharkhand only
Campus Life
Sports event of 3 days including various sports tournaments like table tennis. Badminton, football, cricket (short pitch), Tug of war Chess etc anyone can participate. Freshers party farewell parties Christmas Get together Vishwakarma puja Saraswati puja Janmastami etc
Hostel Facilities
Each Room have 3 beds , 3 study table and 3 chairs... No mattress will be provided you have to arrange your own mattress pillow etc Each room eill have 2 celling fans 3 Almirah In ground floor mess is available Meal is good as compared to other available options Food will have too much oil and spices
Admission
I did diploma in mechanical engineering (2019) so i took admission through lateral entry . My First choice was BIT sindri but in counselling my Rank was not good enough so Ramgarh Engineering College was Alloted to me. My seat was allotted through TFW Quota . I paid 12362 rs yearly for tueson fee and other charges. Hostel charges was 15000 per year for staying only. Mess charges were 130rs per day , three times meal per day that means 3300 rs per month. You can Take admission through JCECEB counselling through JEE mains Rank for 4 years regular B.tech. For lateral entry you have to give entrance exam called Jharkhand Diploma to Degree entrance and do counselling for all available college in jharkhand.
Faculty
Only 4 faculty in Mechanical Department. They show you their notes on Smart board and explain everything written on the notes. They won't write anything on board they just show you written notes. They will teach you 2 modules in one lecture for 1 hour. To be honest I've studied all subjects from YouTube. There will be 2 mid sem exams in one semester. Each subject of 20 marks. The college is Affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology Ranchi so the External exam is conducted in different exam centres each semester.
