Course Curriculum Overview

5

1. I have always had an interest in psychology and wanted to pursue it but not much colleges in Mumbai offered BA Hons in psychology and my college was amongst the few college who adapt the course and that made me choose this college. 2. Basically our internal exams are held within 2 months for semester starting and the semester exams are held within 6 months . The exams are quite hard and the quality of questions are improving as the new teachers are joining our faculty.

Internships Opportunities

5

As for ba/bsc psychology, internship is provided at the last , 6th semester, for a month to a government hospital for which you need to pay up a certain amount of fees. For ma student of psychology, similarly Internship are provided with a particular amount of fees. The experience helps us a lot in the further years in this field as psychology student need field work experience and helps us gain the opportunity any psychology student would need for their further studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Year wise fees for ba psychology hons is 40000. 2.registration fee was 1000 rs. 3. 10000 must be paid at the starting of the year as for the " seat booking" and the remaining 30000 can be paid during the course.

Campus Life

4

1. Our college celebrates almost all the festival, the main fests for our college is arambh ( fresher's event) where celebrities are invented, I have personally encountered chunky Pandey and ameesha patel and navratri is celebrated joyfully with all the students and professors. 2. Our college doesn't charge any cost for the books we rent for library, the book can be rented for 1 week and 2 books can be rented at the same time by your respective library cards. 3. Our psychology lab is filled all the technical stuff we need for practical. 4. Sports event are held quite frequently and is celebrated by the students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

1. The hostel can be opted triple sitter non AC room for 80k , triple sitter AC room would be 1 lakh and double sitting non AC for 95k , double sitter AC room for 1 lakh 15 k. 2. The mess facilities take extra 4k per month and the food quality being compared to other mess families is much better . 3. Registration process for hostel is quite easy, once you are done with the admission process you can directly opt for the hostel by filling a form. Affordability for the hostel is ( for Mumbai) reasonably.

Admission

I choose this college because of its vast options of courses , this college provides you with so many courses which you might not find in other universities or colleges easily. My personal reason to join this college was because of the availability of BA Hons for psychology. Compared to this college, the other colleges I applied to did not offer the honours courses and that was my reason to reject other colleges that I applied for. The admission procedure for this college was quite easy as we can to apply for the college by filling a form that would cost us 1000 rs and after you've been selected for the college, we have to pay up 10k rupees for the seat booking ( which is not an extra fee, this money is the part of the overall course fee) and once you are with that you can start coming to the classes after submitting the required documents. And as for the students who wants to opt for the hostel need to fill the form for 1k and total stay in hostel can cost 1 lakh 20 k.

Faculty

5

1. As for my batch(2023) , there were way fewer admission than we got this year(2024), so the teachers were sufficient for our class strength and we had a teacher for each respective subject. 2. I like my psychology faculty the best as it participants in almost all the extra activities like drama, dance , debates and overall most of the programs. 3. there is no particular faculty that I don't like , I feel like every faculty is doing there best in their field. 4. We have internal exams before the semester exams and we also have 2nd internal for the students who weren't able to perform that well or could attend the exams for any reasons. Then we have our semester exam , which is held in a very strict manner and mostly 2 professor are allotted in a single room for inspection and students aren't allowed to bring any electronics with them in the exam hall. Not many students fail to clear the exam , mostly it's the students who couldn't attend the exams fails and have to give the KT exam

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Biggest reason to choose this subject to I like art related work,so I choose this subject. One advantage of doing this subject is that along with art,you can learn a lot from other social and cultural aspect as well. There is a need to make some improvements in this subject such a a course should be of shorter duration and the syllabus should be made a little shorter. Whatever the exam, the subject should be made a short subject with less duration and should not be of long duration.
